Accessing your account via your mobile device is easy once you have registered for M&S Internet Banking. After you have downloaded the app, login using the username and password that you have set up for Internet Banking. Depending on your device, you can now activate Touch ID or Face ID for a simple and secure way of logging in.
You'll still need to login to M&S Internet Banking to access the full range of online services.

Terrible banking app
As many others have said this app is bad. I’ve used all major high street banking apps as well as many others and this app has the least functionality of them all. It’s on par with HSBC’s app I used to use around 2 years ago, largely because the banking arm of M&S is provided by HSBC.
No Touch ID, security generally clunky, limited information on transactions, difficult to set up transfers, layout isn’t intuitive...overall a poor customer experience. If it wasn’t for other benefits of this bank such as the high interest ref savings I wouldn’t bother.
Feedback for the developers - check out the Barclays App. While not perfect it’s the best banking app out there by a country mile.
Absolutely unbelievably bad app and processes from M&S. What a farce.. doesn’t recognise my details despite having confirmed over the phone earlier this mornng. Now locked out, M&S dont allow any reset online... noone available to help me on phone!! I ‘might ‘ get a call within 24 hours but not guaranteed!!! I cant access my own funds or pay bills. Just switched account, wish id never botheref. The registration process fir the app and internet banking is a joke, overly complicated and with no process to assist when problems with security occur. Ive used name number i use everyday for another purpose and m&s have now locked my account but wont help me get back into it. Ridiculously over complex security processes! Even when u provide correct answers! And all are different depending on if its app, phone, or internet! My advice.. dont switch to them, dont use internet banking and forget the app! Or if you do remain a customer, get a very big notebook to write all the passwords and answers down which you will need to provide as its a long list!!! Absolute nonsense!
Awful banking app. I switched to M&S and I’ve been happy with how smoothly it all went but this app is awful. As is their on line banking So cumbersome, awkward and what I imagine banking apps were like when they first came out. When you want to send money to anyone you get the directed to the web where you have to remember passwords and your aunties cousins shoe size. You’re given a little black contraption called a pass and you have to have that to hand whenever you get directed to the web then hold the green button down for 2 seconds enter your password, it says HELLO. When it says HELLO hold down the purple button and it will show you another password which you enter on your phone then it says oops something went wrong. It’s a ridiculous, fiddly and time consuming way to do on line banking. After attempting a transaction, I gave up after the 6th attempt. 😱
