Find the app really easy to use. Convenient that my credit score is calculated for free and automatically updated every 2 months. Also they willNotify me through emails well before my payment date. Credit limit can be increased and decreased, personal details can be edited, PIN number can be viewed through the app also, which is handy if like me purchase aren't what I usually use the card for. As other have stated, when I make a payment, it doesn't update for a few days, so will still show as payment due. I pay mine through direct debit so I just check through my own bank, and I know the payment has went through when it has left my account! Apart from that, I have no faults with the app at all, and actually find it really good, can organise everything through just that app, no need to phone anyone and waste time! Also I will sometimes receive notifications of offers like money transfers and balance transfers which can be set up through the app within minutes. Honestly no complaints here! 😀

The app itself when you actually can get in works fine. The first problem that arises is that the first time I tried to set it up took almost 45 mins. You have to enter a ton of security information (which is not a bad thing considering it’s a banking app) but while setting up it keeps telling you it’s saving your progress. LIES, It kept crashing then you have to start from beginning again every time, to the point where it wouldn’t let me continue anymore and I had to waste even more time calling them to set it up over phone. The ridiculous part from my review title comes from when you finally have it set up and you get a new phone, if you download the app to a new phone you have to go through the entire set up again with a whole new set of security measures. I’ve never used an app (including other banking apps) that make you do an entirely new set up just because you change device, your log in details shouldn’t have to change just because the app is on a new phone. I asked using their messaging service on the website why I had to do this and got 3 generic responses that were clearly cut and pasted from a script saying I had to call them (had no intention of wasting my time calling them) then they passed my question on as a complaint and after about 8 months they finally replied with another generic response that any new device has to be set up with new log in details. Most pointless app I’ve ever seen and a complete waste of time

I find the app quite confusing and frustrating to use. This is the first credit card I have owned and the app doesn’t help to settle any anxiety I have about my payments. I am trying to handle my new credit card with much care and attention and the app does not help me with this at all. I have made sure to make a payment on time every month but the app makes it very hard work and gives me anxiety every time I see that it says still stays ‘payment due on...’ when I look at my statement; even though I have made a payment that month that covers the minimum payment required. I would rather have my statement in a separate inbox and the wording change automatically on this page to say it ‘payment successfully- no payment due till or ‘no payment needed’. On the account page I would like it to tell me when my next statement will be and I would like it to show my payment history for the year in a very clear way on the same page as my balance. I find all the different pages unnecessary as when you click on one you find it doesn’t provide you with much information on one page anyway. The use of the phrase ‘your latest statement is available’ on the account pages is very frustrating as well as I have to check on the statement page to see when my next statement is actually due and then realise if a payment is needed. Even when I look at the statement page to try and see my payment history doesn't provide me with a full transaction history in one long list. Overall, the app doesn’t give me any relief or reassurance that I’m paying off my credit card in a healthy way. I wouldn’t recommend it the moment.

This app is terrible! It shows old closed accounts that are over 12-months old, with no option to hide or remove. Barclaycard email you to tell you that your statements are available however, when you go to the statement section of the app it tells you that no statement is available for your account! When you use the chat/help function in the app, messages in the live chat appear and disappear randomly, making it almost impossible to actually get any support and the customer support team have no idea what they are doing! I can’t tell you have many times I have been advised to uninstall and re-install this app and unregister and re-register my account! Absolutely appalling and I can’t believe that this is the standard for a credit card company and longstanding as Barclaycard! Look at your competitors and sort it out!!!Update - after 3 further bug fix and app updates it’s still shocking! You need to sack the team responsible for developing this app! It still shows accounts that are closed (and have been for decades!) with no option to remove or even hide them. The statements section also STILL doesn’t work! It says there are no statements for my account when there are and they are only available if you access them from the main screen … if I’m lucky enough for it to work! Absolutely useless app!
