Download the app to get started now.
Whatever your goal, you can do it with MyDrinkaware.

There are lots of benefits to cutting back your drinking or even stopping drinking alcohol completely. Your sleep can improve, your mood will be brighter, you’ll find it easier to concentrate and there are lots of long-term health benefits, to name a few.

MyDrinkaware is different from other apps on the market. Other apps allow you to track your drinking habits, but that’s all they do. By tracking units, drink-free days, and sleep quality, side-by-side, MyDrinkaware guides users towards a healthier lifestyle.

Have you ever considered cutting down on drinking before but not known where to start? MyDrinkaware is built to guide realistic lifestyle changes. Setting unmanageable goals can often lead to giving up altogether. That’s why MyDrinkaware is different:

- Our app celebrates your wins with you!
- We provide personalised support to help you reach your targets.
- Beyond logging drinks, you can also track drink-free days.
- With MyDrinkaware, you can track your sleep quality, to see how it improves over time as you cut down on alcohol consumption.
- Our app allows you to log drinks by name and by type - such as wine or spirits - detailing the size of the drink, and, of course, how many you’ve had.
- You can set achievable goals for yourself and manage lifestyle changes at your own pace, to keep you motivated.

The MyDrinkaware app helps you to review your drinking patterns and to set your own goals. Most importantly, the app is always on hand, at the times and places you need it the most.

MyDrinkaware offers personalised results and takes control of all the sums, to provide simple, comparable data. With clear visual aids, you can watch your alcohol consumption reduce in the palm of your hand.

Download MyDrinkaware now - it’s time to go from thinking about cutting back, to enjoying life while drinking less.

Disaster averted

SECOND UPDATE
Have been using for a few weeks now. It’s alright, it works. But too many taps. Recording a common drink should be a single tap on the homepage to add a single drink to today. Instead it’s tap “record drink” tap the drink - if it’s one on the random shortlist, otherwise type it in to the search bar…! - tap how many, tap save. Too many taps, makes it very clunky when it’s something you want to do every day.

UPDATE Developer picked up on my review below. Not sure whether it was something they did or it has just resolved with the patience they asked for, but my data is now all back. Still a few niggles (log in every time) buy largely happy and I’m back tracking.

Original review:
Of course we all have auto-update on so no use giving the only constructive advice which would be to stick with the old version. I’m probably going to consider legal action under GDPR to ensure I get back all my personal data the developers still have stored on a server somewhere but which is inaccessible via the app. So unfortunately two other actions now: 1, download an alternative app; 2, go and have a pint to get over the stress. (Not sure the developers intended either outcome, but there you go.)

Developer Response ,

Hi G Dawes,

We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue with migrating your data to the new app. Please rest assured your data is safe, in some cases this process is taking longer than we expected, due to the sheer volume of data being processed at the moment. The problem has been resolved now and you should be able to access your data. If you are still experiencing issues, please send us an email to contact@drinkaware.co.uk and we will be more than happy to assist. We value your feedback and we are working round the clock to resolve any issues the app might have.

Kind regards,
The Drinkaware Team

Good in parts but sadly some things really let it down.

I have used this for a few years now and have found it really helpful to keep a track on my drinking. Being able to see an overall drinking amount, plus daily levels that are colour coded is motivating, especially when I hit my target levels. Consequently I’ve dropped my weekly drinking levels considerably. I like the latest update where you can quickly add recent drinks- like most people, I imagine, I drink the same things in general. I find it frustrating however that while it is based around a week’s drinking, you can only see 5 days at a glance. Frustratingly, it doesn’t allow you to edit entries. I entered a drink then changed my mind but it wouldn’t let me change to a drink free day. It makes no sense not to be able edit or delete entries. It also fails to load or crashes on a frequent basis. Three days ago when I open it, all my data had gone and it is showing zero across the board. I’ve deleted and reloaded it without success and I’ve had to do that with this app more times than I can remember, which makes me reluctant to keep using it. If these bugs were fixed it would be a great app but I’m currently considering just deleting it and trying another.

Edit- have received prompt and sympathetic response from developer with assurance these bugs are being fixed. If this is done I’ll be happy as the app is very useful and having looked at others really is the best of all the drink tracking apps.

Developer Response ,

Hi Jenny-

Thank you for getting in touch. We’re sorry for the issues you’re experiencing with the app.

We have a fix that’ll be promoted soon, and rest assured, all your data is intact. In the meantime, if you hit ‘Track’ and then return to Dashboard or Progress, any recorded data should be re-presented. While this is not ideal, it should restore your data until the bug-fix has been promoted.
The feedback regarding editing/changing is heard. We are constantly working on improving in order to give users the most effective and efficient app that we can. Feel free to email to contact@drinkaware.co.uk if the data issue persists.

All the best,
Cate (and The Drinkaware Team)

Its come to this ,

Much worse than it used to be

I’ve been using the app for a couple of years and found it pretty useful. At some point I had to reinstall it on my phone and discovered this awful “upgrade”. I’ve never been driven to write an app review before but this is what it’s come to. Why do we have to log in every single time we use the app? Why have I already done the self assessment but the app can’t remember it so I get prompted all the time? Why doesn’t it display a whole week at a time? Why can’t we compare more than a week at a time like we could before? Why have you taken away the calories and the cost of drinks? The sleep rating could be useful but we can’t really compare it to see longer term trends so, much like the rest of the app, it’s now largely useless. Please don’t respond by saying I need more time to get used to the app - I’m not an idiot, it’s just a bad upgrade. Please can you just reinstate the old features, as most of the reviews here seem to be requesting. This is a failure, but you have all my data so I’d theoretically like to keep using it if it improved again.

Developer Response ,

Hello-
I'm sorry that you aren't pleased with the new app. We did take a lot of effort researching this upgrade, including user feedback and testing to try and get it right.
But we appreciate the time that you have taken to let us know of your concerns and requests. That is exactly what is necessary in order to improve and progress.
Some of the issues you mentioned are known-the volume of data migration was very large, and we took as many security precautions in order to protect users during this transition. Multiple logins should ease up, and the speed of the app should improve now that we are settling in.
The old tracking features and presentation of data have been duly noted as things that loyal users like yourself miss, and they are being taken into consideration for future releases.
If you have anything further you'd like to address, I'd be happy to answer specifically to my best ability. You can email contact@drinkaware.co.uk and I'll get back to you :)

Best Regards,
Cate (and The Drinkaware Team)
