Good effort, but still a long way to go

Like some of your previous reviewers have mentioned, way too many unnecessary clicks/taps. The fact that one needs to deactivate timer control then switch it to manual for a quick us of heating and then switch of manual control to set it back to timer control - is so annoying. Still not fully integrated with all voice assistants and I wonder how long it will take. I’m glad I’m using the SensoNet device than there newer wireless gateway as the SensoNet has Ethernet capability. The new wireless gateway is only connected by WiFi - this information was very hard to find and is not widely available; plus most Vaillant-approved engineers do not have this information and therefore cannot advice. I really wish Vaillant were more transparent with their information on their products for their end customers, rather than relying solely on their approved engineers who SOMETIMES know very little about telecommunications engineering!

Not everything it’s cracked up to be

Found out after installation that we can only control a single zone via Apple HomeKit, this wouldn’t be such a problem if the myVAILLANT app didn’t suffer from a lot small glitches, crashes and server downtime.

When we were recommended to change all our heating controllers we were told that the Nest geofence function we used constantly would be available via the HomeKit setup but it has turned out we need to change the schedules and temperatures manually as the Vaillant software isnt fully compatible yet…….and still isn't months later.

We were advised by the customer services team that they would happily refund the cost of the non compatible equipment and controllers but have yet to provide any further details of a compatible third party controller to run our hybrid heating system.

Poor quality installation form the Vaillant “Gold” accredited company and even poorer back up from Vaillant!!!

Hi, currently only single zones can be controlled via Apple HomeKit. We will pass your comments onto our developers. The myVAILLANT app has recently had some server issues, however the team are working to resolve these and improve the stability.

The update seems to find connectivity with the thermostat problematic

I keep thinking that everything is going well and now realise that the server (wherever it is) goes down occasionally which creates local issues at the consumer end. I think that things are getting better slowly and take my hat off to app support people who, I assume, lead stressful lives. These last two upgrades to the app seem to have introduced a problem with identifying a connected and functioning thermostat (which I can live with), but this seems to be the best way of flagging the issue as the in app support must surely be stretched and cannot respond to the presumably large and growing customer base. I guess they’ll get thrre and hope that they have some time off during the festive season.
