Love it but crashes

I normally only use Zwift during winter and out on roads in summer but the UK weather has been so bad needed to get back inside. Saw MY WOOSH and decided to give it a try. Tried first on work laptop. Had to also download graphics software as could not run the software. Note: Zwift runs fine on this laptop. Australia just had me constantly in the ocean, other worlds worked maybe for a couple of minutes then crashed. Downloaded onto IPad and tried again. Mirrored iPad to laptop and then HDMI to television. ( not a smart tv).
Great, seems better. I have done multiple rides with maybe 50% crashing. Worst time was when it crashed 1km from end of the longest Australia route and did not save any data.
I think it is really good but the hardware requirements are more akin to a gaming computer. Bit of a conflict here. Most people who do indoor cycling are probably not the ones who will have a gaming computer, the ones with gaming computers probably not avid cyclists.
Any way just waiting for Belgium to load. Went back to Zwift a few days ago as getting frustrated with crashing. Love it when it works. I know it is most likely hardware issues but do not see me getting new hardware. Let’s see how it pans out.

Good, if you have a good desktop or laptop

My experience on a mac desktop has been good. the software is equally on par with other virtual trainer software. It has also not crashed, (3.6.0) although I've not done many rides so far. However, moving the desktop around is inconvienient so looked at using the iPad and Apple tv versions, these are atrocious. I couldnt tell you what the TV version is like as I can't get into it, all you get is invalid email or invalid password messsages. It also doesnt respond to the remote, had to use phone to enter details. The iPad does work but mirrowing is not 16:9 so not as good as the desktop for a big screen

Zwift but free!

I’ve used Zwift for quite a few years now but the recent price hike in subscriptions and the reality of only being able to ride a few times a month made me look elsewhere. MyWhoosh is an excellent alternative. All the same features as Zwift, perhaps not as smooth all the time but I’m being picky. Immersive worlds, realistic resistance and a good all round workout and it’s free. That bit I don’t understand- the Ts&Cs do make provision to charge a fee or in game purchases but currently it’s free and no ads either.
If you’re looking for an alternative to Zwift for casual riding MyWhoosh is definitely worth giving a go - I’ll be sticking with it and have already suspended my Zwift subscription.
