Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely appalling service
So initially I thought all was going to be ok. Downloaded the App successfully registered my details, received a SMS to say my parcel would be delivered during a specified time slot and I waited, and waited, and waited. Tracked the delivery van on the App to within a mile of my home then nothing, the App crashed and the delivery driver just didn’t bother turning up. So throughout the day, I contacted Parcelforce Customer Services 3 times, the first two calls pretty much pointless because although sympathetic, they couldn’t help and they didn’t even contact the area depot to find out why the driver hadn’t delivered. Final call resulted in me reporting a failed delivery. I’ve raised an official complaint with Parcelforce and I’m looking forward to whatever excuse is going to be made in defence of the driver. Utterly shambolic and an App that clearly doesn’t work 100 percent of the time because at time of writing this, it claims my parcel is still out for delivery when it’s obvious that the driver has long since returned to their depot with my parcel still in the back of their van. Parcelforce can’t even be bothered to phone me to tell me when they’ll bother themselves to attempt another delivery.
Did any thinking go into the design?
The user experience was not high on the list of priorities when they designed this app. This is my experience: I get emailed a tracking number link. I click on the link and it takes me to the site which is topped with an Open button for the app, which I already had installed. I click the button and it opens the app but it doesn’t pass through the tracking number so I have to go back to the email for that. The tracking number is a link so I can’t just copy the text so I go back to the website to get it, where it is in plain text. So I copy it into the app and see the status. Next, I try to register - I get “We’re sorry an error has occurred please try again later”, polite, yes, helpful, no. I check my details: they’re correct, in the right format and no extraneous spaces do I try again. Same error. The next day, I open the app to check the status. The app hasn’t remembered the tracking number. There’s no history option. It’s before the expected delivery time so there’s absolutely no excuse for it not being there.
If you’re so crap at this, why would I trust you with my parcel?
What a shambllic business
Forever having trouble with PF not delivering my parcels. House is obvious, just get a ticket through the door with completely unledgable writing for me to decifer which post office in the country they have taken my parcel. If i had the time to run around getting items i wouldnt order things online.. once i have worked out the post office, i go there to collect to find the shop attendants laughing and saying ‘do you think parcelforce ever deliver any parcels?’.. i then thought to myself, i will try setting a safe place on the app and hopefully they can redeem themselves. But no… the app seems to not work using any of the tracking numbers ive ever had, and when attempting to register it just displays an error. If i could set up something on all my online orders to not use PF i would.. the other companies i have experience with for delivering are far from perfect but are made to seem god tier in comparison to PARCELFORCE..
