Description

Your iPhone is always with you and makes a great step counter.

Available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, Pedometer++ is the best way to review your step count, walking distance, active calories and heart rate data.

Set a custom step count goal, and track your progress over time. The built-in graphs make reviewing your data easy and fun. Everyone loves awards, and Pedometer++ includes a range of Badges to motivate and reward your hard work! The app also totals how far you’ve walked each day, and even counts the flights of stairs you encounter each day.

With full-featured widget support, Pedometer++ can display your step count or update you on your daily progress right from the lock screen or home screen of your iPhone.

The Apple Watch app puts all this data on your wrist. With a wide range of Complications, it’s easy to check your progress with just a glance. Add a single Complication to your daily watch face, or add several to build a comprehensive fitness-focused look!

DETAILS:
For best results, keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a pocket close to your hips. If you have an Apple Watch, you can set Pedometer++ to sync step data across your devices for the most accurate data possible.

The Apple Watch app can also be used to start and track both indoor and outdoor walking and running workouts and can serve as your guide while hiking.

ROUTES & MAPPING:
Pedometer++ is your ultimate companion for exploring the great outdoors. You can import GPX files for waypoints and routes set by others.

You can also use the app to create your own routes. Simply tap on your desired start and end points, and Pedometer++ will find the shortest route between them. You can then tweak the route based on terrain, trail popularity or personal preference.

In addition to the distance of a route, Pedometer++ shows the elevation changes you will encounter and the estimated time it will take you to reach your destination. You can also monitor the weather that is expected along your route.

The best part is that custom routing is available on the iPhone and Apple Watch. And of course, being out in nature often means losing cell service, so Pedometer++ allows you to download offline map data for large areas, not just data for your specific route. Offline map data is available on the iPhone and Apple Watch, as long as your Watch is within range of your phone.

NOTES:
Pedometer++ integrates with the Apple Health app to collect and display step data collected by your Apple Watch.

Pedometer++ includes an optional premium subscription. This is offered on a monthly or annual basis. If you choose to purchase a subscription your payment will be charged to your iTunes account. Subscriptions will automatically renew unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the current period. After purchase, you can turn off auto-renewal anytime by going to your Account Settings on the App Store.

Access to iPhone-based workout tracking is only available to Pedometer++ Premium subscribers.

Annoyed person 😤😠😤😡 ,

Past steps not counted even though I met the target?

The app was great until today. I opened it, and I found that somehow managed to undo the last refreshes of the day for certain days, meaning that rather than my 150+ day streak, I had a series of broken records because for some of the days my goal looks like it wasn't reached when really, the app just didn't refresh itself before midnight to make sure my last steps were counted for the day. What I'm completely baffled about is why this has happened all of a sudden today - so far, the app HAS refreshed itself before the end of the day to make sure that all steps are counted. But randomly today, some of those refreshes have apparently been and done for the days. E.g. For yesterday, my 5100 steps has today gone back down to 4800 steps even though I definitely completed all of the steps.
In other words, yesterday my app looked like a long line of 5k+ steps. Today, my app has rewritten my past days, turning them into 4k, 4.7k, 5k, 7k, 10k, 4.9k, 4.8k, 5.6k, 5k, etc.
It's very weird and kind of disappointing. It feels like a lot of my achievements in terms of making sure I meet my minimum step count for each day have been undone.

Great monitor and motivate

This app has most of what you need to see how well you are doing on your daily walks and in motivating you to keep walking and even to improve on your daily walks on your own or with others. If you have issues such as diabetes or a back problems that need you to exercise daily, this app can be just what you need to encourage you to make a start and over months improve by allowing you to set and, when you feel ready, increase your own targets. The month by month challenges and other challenges add a further interest and motivation which become self fulfilling targets of their own. Have fun and a happy and healthy New Year !
This is as true today as it was when I first started using the app years ago.

Adds the functionality apple refuse to add

I like my apple watch. It does a whole range of tasks. Pays my shopping, tracks my heart rate through the day, tracks work outs, apparently it even tells the time. However the one bit of data my watch is tracking already which I'd like to know without diving into my phone is my step count.

Previously it was buried in the health app on my iPhone. That's what brought me to Pedometer ++. I can't really rate the app on my phone, other than setting it up I've ignored it and that was my experience of it, that's not where this app is useful. However on my watch is where it shines. Tracks my steps and distance elegantly.

However I do have a complaint you'll walk and walk, and the display doesn't update on your watch, greatest lapse so far is almost 5 hours before I tapped on my watch to update. It'd be nice if it dynamically updated every so often (maybe every 15 mins). Only after you tap on it do you get the latest update and the information relayed to the relevant complication. Otherwise great watch app.
