Not intuitive at first

Really awkward to use and organise photos at first.
Im having to use a different photo app atm.
But id like to use this one as it saves me organising photos in 2 diff apps.

Two features that i think would win this over for me:
1- please have option to add entire albums or folders to hidden. This is main reason i use another app that does this.

2- id like to have some folders/albums not sync to my icloud. This is main feature missing from google photos too. So if this app did it. Itd be a clear winner.
For example id like to have some folders with albums on my device only. Just by selecting it/them and have an option saying “unsync” or “device only” or something.

This will allow better management of icloud space and mean it wont get filled with junk/non important photos/videos like memes that i like having but also dont care if i lose.

One additional feature id like but could live without if the other 2 implemented: an option to change the view/layout of folders
Im not sure what to, maybe something more generic or androidy, just for more options.

A few improvements

This app is so great I couldn’t give it anything less than five stars, but I do have some issues.
First up, though, I would just like to emphasise my love of the new updates in recent times! Now when you adjust the date and time of photos, they change position in the camera roll so you don’t have to find the old date when looking for them, and the new memory videos are very seamless and well-crafted.
However, many a time, I have found that when I play a video, the automatic mute function that was added a few years back gets in the way. I get that it’s supposed to be a helpful feature, and I’m not saying get rid of it, but it would be useful if you could turn it off in Settings if you find it inconvenient.
Also, since I got my phone I’ve had the issue that the memory videos are only created if at least one video was shot on that particular day. Sometimes, there are over forty images taken that day and it doesn’t create a video! Please fix this.
Thanks, that’s all for now! It really is a great app!

Organisational chaos. Plus cannot remove Exif details.

My concerns set out in my previous review remain the same, but the problem is worse now as I have more photos. Please address this Apple.
Also as a company that promotes itself as one that respects users' privacy please include a facility to remove all exif details you do not want to share from photos and videos for both Mac and IOS.

Previous review I use photos on ipad and on my mac. My library is on my mac as I transfer from ipad to mac and delete photos from the ipad. Mac photos is simply awful for organisation. You try to organise your photos into categories and put them into folders but they all still stay in the initial "photos" section. It's like taking all your plates from the dishwasher, putting them in the cupboard but they also go back to the dishwasher too, which eventually gets so full of plates it doesn't work anymore. Please Apple let me put my photos into folders and when I do that please set my photos free from the initial "photos" scetion of the app.
