Works 80% of the time

I like all the features on the app itself.
My issue is it doesn’t always run well. The app crashes on opening a lot of the time.
It doesn’t always connect to the tracker first time, and I have issues with it showing up that we’ve reached the activity goal consistently once it has been connected. It doesn’t seem to ‘refresh’ in real time... It can be very slow to connect and update that way.
But I do like the feature of the badges. I like that you can change the dogs weight etc to suit activity and also the recommended activity level etc.
It’s nice to have something to work towards and it’s great to see how active my dog is.

Used to be good

Just installed the new update and now it’s saying that I don’t have a PitPat attached to my dog and that the device attached to his collar is associated with another dog! I’ve not changed device, or dog, so why is it asking me to erase the data and reset it, losing the last two days of data! This is not a seamless experience and any app that requires a reset of devices once updates are applied is rather poor. What a waste of a subscription!

Update: the app and device still have significant issues. Fetching data doesn’t always work and when that happens, you lose the data (the device offloads the activity data when you press the button and deletes it). Definitely not a smooth experience. It used to be good, but lately the whole thing has been mis-recording activity (recording less than my dog’s target when I’ve done exactly the same routine than the day before that earned twice the activity minutes) and not syncing correctly. I’m afraid the whole system needs an overhaul. I’ve gone back to just monitoring my dog’s weight manually and checking his body condition as a mark of food and activity level monitoring.

It doesn’t work

In theory this should do everything that you need it to do to ensure your pet is maintaining sufficient levels of activity and I had night hopes. In practice it doesn’t. If the app isn’t crashing , the monitor is cutting out, so you can’t ever rely on the package to keep accurate records. lf I manually count steps taken during the day, my records are totally different to those if the monitor. What’s the point? You may as well save your time and money and keep your own manual records. Very frustrating when it can’t manage to accurately perform the job it was designed to do or fill the most basic requirement counting. I’ve gone back to adapting my Fitbit for our dogs and sold the monitor online. Shouldn’t be in production until it’s fit for purpose, yet I see it being advertised on Tv all the time which is out of order when people are purchasing to use on pets that need to be monitored for medical reasons. I hopecompany are refunding these customers!
