Exercise keeps your dog healthy, but how do you know if they're getting enough? Or perhaps you wonder what your dog does when you’re not around? PitPat gives you a fun and easy way to find out.

Attach PitPat to your dog’s collar and see your dog’s activities in the app. Discover how much walking, running, playing and resting they’ve been doing. PitPat suggests an exercise goal tailored to your dog - based on their breed, age and weight - and then lets you track their progress to help keep your dog happy and healthy.

So what are you waiting for, join the pack and make exercise count!

It doesn’t work

In theory this should do everything that you need it to do to ensure your pet is maintaining sufficient levels of activity and I had night hopes. In practice it doesn’t. If the app isn’t crashing , the monitor is cutting out, so you can’t ever rely on the package to keep accurate records. lf I manually count steps taken during the day, my records are totally different to those if the monitor. What’s the point? You may as well save your time and money and keep your own manual records. Very frustrating when it can’t manage to accurately perform the job it was designed to do or fill the most basic requirement counting. I’ve gone back to adapting my Fitbit for our dogs and sold the monitor online. Shouldn’t be in production until it’s fit for purpose, yet I see it being advertised on Tv all the time which is out of order when people are purchasing to use on pets that need to be monitored for medical reasons. I hopecompany are refunding these customers!

Works 80% of the time

I like all the features on the app itself.
My issue is it doesn’t always run well. The app crashes on opening a lot of the time.
It doesn’t always connect to the tracker first time, and I have issues with it showing up that we’ve reached the activity goal consistently once it has been connected. It doesn’t seem to ‘refresh’ in real time... It can be very slow to connect and update that way.
But I do like the feature of the badges. I like that you can change the dogs weight etc to suit activity and also the recommended activity level etc.
It’s nice to have something to work towards and it’s great to see how active my dog is.

Could be improved..Especially for Hot Weather

The PitPat is a good thing to have, as it encourages you & your dawg to exercise and to the correct minimum suggested time.
However, where it fails for me big time is that you enthusiastically work hard to achieve the next goal, but as my dog is a giant bread with thick hair I cannot take her out in the British hot spells and so all my efforts to get the next badge (was 170+ days done to get the 180 day badge) are wasted as it resets to start again.... most Disappointed!
I would suggest there is some kind of override so that during hot spells you can exempt the 50 minute (as is my case) walks.

Developer Response ,

Hello Clemo 04,
Thank you for getting in touch and your feedback.
We are so sorry to hear about the frustration and disappointment caused. However, what a great idea for improvement that we’ll consider!
As a quick tip in the meantime, if you know you may not make your goal, you can proactively adjust it downwards anytime up to midnight on the day and our app will respect it. We also have a built-in “cheat days” allowance of up to 3%
Please do not hesitate to get in touch again.
Happy PitPat-ing.
