You asked us for dark mode for the reading pages, so that reading is easier on your eyes. Well, we've heard your feedback and are excited to launch full support for both Dark and Light Modes for the whole application. Now you can set your preferences by going to Settings > General > User Interface Theme where you can choose from Dark, Light or Match Device. "Match Device" will follow whatever preference you've set on your device.

Paper Boy More Reliable.
That says it all. Too many late deliveries and some qualify, late afternoon, as non deliveries. The staff at The Herald in Glasgow have done what they can but the latest no show coincides with an abnormally heavy snowfall in the Glasgow area. Presumably someone has to initiate the download process manually at the Glasgow end. It doesn’t help,I suspect, that the other end is in Vancouver BC. although that shouldn’t make a difference in this case I suspect it does.
While the exceptional snowfall on March 1st. was responsible for the latest non delivery, the fact remains that our paper boy has a 100% delivery record with my wife’s paper, the same cannot be said for the online delivery of mine.
Any delivery after 10am. should automatically trigger a rebate by delaying the subscription renewal by one day. That would be the ideal situation for the customer. I for one however realised a long time ago that I have to live in the real world. That doesn’t make it any more satisfactory though.

D.bshaw, we're sorry for the delay with the March 1st edition of the Herald, as the files from publisher reached us later than scheduled; not sure if the weather in Glasgow had anything to do with it!
Problem on iPad
I get this app through my library. Within the last few months I have had a problem with the app when I try to search or browse. The app insists on flipping through often duplicate or triplicate versions of various papers and magazines without stopping and then I have no option but to select or click the back arrow one page at a time until I finally reach the home page. Before I can do anything to stop it, the whole flipping process begins again and is completely out of my control until it reaches the end. Then I manually have to go back page by page to home page when it sets off flipping again ad infinitum. I don’t have this problem on my iPhone. I’ve tried deleting and reloading the app but the problem keeps recurring. I used to really enjoy this app but now it has become annoying. I don’t know how to fix this.

Recent problems not fixed
A number of recent reviewers have highlighted problems which the developers claim has been fixed. Not so, a bit of honesty would be appreciated here. I tried deleting the app and re-installing it without any success. Yesterday I was able to access up to date papers but the would not automatically download. Today, no papers at all and no access to downloads or ‘for you’ tabs. This used to be an excellent app but for reason the developers seem unable to fix whatever problems are behind the poor functionality. C’mon guys, if you’re having problems and admit it we can accept that and be a bit more patient.
Update.
The app is now back running perfectly which is a great relief. I’ve updated my rating back to 5 stars as it really is that good (when running as it should)👍.
