Bringing my ideas with me everywhere
I use Quip for work, for creative writing, for personal admin, to-donlists, recipes, brainstorming, more-taking. I love it's simple minimal design but also the richness of the smart functions. I love that I can search for documents from either of my devices and easily find stuff. I love that I can continue working even if offline and it'll sync next time I connect. I use Quip more often than my email or any other productivity tool. One of my absolute must-haves!
I love Quip, it’s super easy to pull docs and info all into one place with quick ways to add calendars / Kanbans / spreadsheets and the countdown clock is great. It also synchs across all my devices and have used it not only for business but for my holiday planning and random everyday events - only feedback is the calendar and event adding needs improving as I found I could not delete an event in a column
Ugly icon, USA-friendly app
The latest version has a new icon which is possibly the worst I’ve seen for quite some time. Fortunately the application is and always has been very good.
One big issue for me is the lack of 24 hour support for times in spreadsheets. So much of the world uses the 24 hour clock (ISO 8601), so I can’t think of a good reason this hasn’t been added already. And universal date format, for that matter. It’s like they’re only interested in US customers’ cash.
