Doesn’t work

I have used the Radioplayer app daily for years and for the first time this new app has meant a switch to Global Player and the other separate apps. This new app just doesn’t work for me on iOS 16. Loads to a red screen. I’ve downloaded the old version until it’s fixed but may end up sticking with the separate apps for a better experience.

Developer Response ,

Hi, have you installed the latest update? It has fixed a number of issues for many of our users. If that doesn't work for you, could you please contact us at contact@radioplayerworldwide.org so that we can work together to figure it out?

Durdyfiv ,

What’s the purpose of this 'new' app?

LATER EDIT: DO NOT UNINSTALL THE OLD APP, THEY’VE NOW TAKEN IT OFF THE APP STORE SO THERE’S NO WAY OF GETTING IT BACK AND THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED THE ISSUES WITH THE NEW APP. THE DEVELOPER STILL SAW THE ISSUES I LISTED HOWEVER ON MY OTHER REVIEW, SO I’D EXPECT THEM TO BE ADDRESSED.

What’s the purpose of this second, new app? How is it different from the current one, aside from the 'live' text on the Lock Screen player and a circular logo as opposed to a square one? Why can’t you simply update the current app if you want to introduce these aspects? My issue is that I cannot import my playlists onto this 'new' app, regardless of the pop-up telling me it’s possible. At least for me, it isn’t - there’s no option/ability to import within this 'new' app. EDIT: Was able to import after multiple attempts. However the developer has not addressed my points. Additionally, on this new app, the carousel at the top is extremely laggy whereas the old one wasn’t, it slided along smoothly. Moreover, I dislike the gap at the bottom between the play bar and the tabs. What is its purpose? The old way looked better. And finally, please reuse the square logo - no apps use a circular logo, they are all squared - so this app looks completely out of place on my iPhone. PLEASE, FINALLY, TAKE A LOOK AT MY NEW REVIEW ON THE OLD APP - IT LISTS ADDITIONAL ISSUES RELATING TO THIS NEW APP. THANKS

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your report, Durdyfiv. The new version of the Radioplayer app is a completely new code base and therefore installs alongside the old app.Look for Radioplayer on your device - the icon for the new app is a red circle on a black background, the icon for the old app is a red square on a white background. Please delete the old app and keep up-to-date with future new releases that will address all reported issues. Have a great day!

Good app

Would have given it five stars but recently I’ve become so annoyed at having to listen to Matt Lucas’ advert each time I start using the app and by the way Matt I won’t be buying your childrens book even though I have a child that might enjoy it, so the relentless effort to brainwash me into buying something has actually been counter productive.
I understand that things need to be funded by advertising but at least mix thing’s up a bit with different adverts and not the same one for months on end.

Developer Response ,

Thank you very much for your 4-star review, Law-C85. Radioplayer does not insert any pre-roll or mid-roll advertising into the radio streams - any such audio would have been placed there by the broadcaster. Please keep up-to-date with future new releases of the Radioplayer App as we continually release new improvements.
