Description
The School Spider application is designed to make it easy for your child's school to communicate directly with you. It allows you to read news and blog items directly on your mobile phone and also see the school's calendar.
Your child's school can send messages directly to your mobile phone using push notifications. Logging in as a parent enables you to receive messages from your child's teacher, access parent surveys, book on to parents evenings and view parent forums. This will require a School Spider parent account, please contact your child's school for more information.

Poor interface, no ability to refine, awful messaging
This has caused untold problems since our school adopted it. There appears to be no way to communicate with the school to clarify their issued messages, the booking system is cluttered with dozens of options and no way to refine it to just the relevant ones, and the smug way it tells you “you’re all done, have a coffee” at the useless dashboard page is infuriating.
It may be that way out school is using it but this seems to have taken their poor communication habits and systematised them into an app. Argh!
Not vision impaired friendly
My daughters school has just started using this app and I just can’t read it at all. Even if the text wasn’t so faint that it’s impossible to read, the glaring orange colour is just far to distracting for me having a vision impairment. I’d love to know if this was tested my those with vision impairments as I can’t imagine that anybody would have given it the thumbs up! Absolute rubbish!!
Simple and easy to use
Really clear and easy to use ap. Straightforward and simple way of keeping up to date with school announcements. I’m not the most tech savvy and found this a great addition to online engagement with school!
