Skyline Taxis 4+

I downloaded the Skyline app recently to be able to pay for a taxi by card in Milton Keynes, UK. However sadly it brought me one disappointment after another.

First, it seems like the address doesn’t get loaded for the drivers properly as they kept getting lost meaning that I had to cancel the taxi and book again making me waste time.

Second, if you are following your booking while you are waiting for it, it shows as if your driver is already driving off with you when they haven’t even arrived to pick you up yet.

And finally, the cherry on the cake: today I had pre-booked a taxi to pick me up at an exact time as I needed to be on time for an appointment. When I got out of the train station I couldn’t locate my taxi. As soon as I did it was already driving off with another passenger! Thank God that I had set the booking to pay by cash because if not someone else would have had a free ride on me. I even got the receipt for the trip! I wasn’t able to give the driver a bad rating.

I called Skyline to complain and they couldn’t care less and I had to wait 15 mins for another taxi that I ordered which obviously made me lose my appointment.

I am making sure that no one I know in Milton Keynes uses the app. It really makes me angry that in this day and age there can be such a bad user experience and customer service. No wonder Uber is the top in the market.

Leaving not a single star for Skyline

I have to say the Skyline app and the taxi service is great. The taxis are so efficient and drivers are usually nice and friendly enough - it depends on who you get on the day I guess (some can be a little frosty!). It has been a bit of a lifeline for me given my personal circumstances recovering from major surgery. Skyline is very reasonably priced too. The app sometimes behaves strangely as it initially appears to lose my personal details but once I refresh everything reverts to normal and all is restored. It works just fine 90% of the time! I would definitely recommend the service and I’m so glad to see that Skyline are now employing friendly and courteous drivers. Fantastic indeed!

The skyline taxi app is highly annoying it’s caused me so much stress lately I’m not going to order from skyline again. It’s a shame as I’ve been booking through them for 30 years now. The drivers are great top notch. The only problem is the location targeting. I’ve got my home address plugged in - yet every time I order - most of the time it sends the driver to a random house near me. When I say random - it will send the driver next door, across the street, or a few doors down - even though I’m sitting in my front room every single time. I ordered from tesco a few days ago - and it sent the driver to Asda round the corner. So I rang the driver up and he raged at me. I got in his cab and he raged at me for wasting his time. It’s happened countless times to me - and my friends who use the skyline app. Possibly the wnkest technology I’ve seen - when both driver and passenger are raging each other - before the journey has even started - because your app is a pile of shte. Please fix this and save your customers and drivers loads of hassle and expense they don’t deserve. Thanks in advance
