Works perfectly

I’ve just installed my F200 Pro camera and the app connected perfectly. No issues with any connections as per some other reviews. My only negative comment would be the app looks quite dated and has very few functions. However, it does everything that is needed just fine.

This horrendous software looks like it’s from 2003

My U1000 was so expensive when I bought it - £500. I also purchased the thinkware battery pack for parking mode. I particularly wanted this camera because it has cloud functionality but honestly this app is so terrible, it’s nearly impossible to get it to work. Trying to connect to a mobile hotspot and keep a connection is so outrageously difficult and unintuitive - one cannot believe that the developers looked at this and said ‘yes, job done this is great’. The interface and user experience is like something from pre-iOS times. Avoid this company and go with BlackVue. The hardware isn’t as good but at least the software (and specifically cloud fun functionally) actually works. The number of hours I’ve spent trying to get it to connect (and stay connected) to hotspots for remote view etc is embarrassing - and I have a PhD in computer science. The cloud functionality is actually laughable, something they might be fixing with the Q1000 (which isn’t 4K) and a whole new app, but that doesn’t help me with my £700+ investment into this company that’s chosen to make terrible software. Avoid.

A solid app, makes it easier to use the camera.

Finally we have a dedicated app for the Thinkware cameras without the cloud connectivity.
This app makes it SO MUCH EASIER to review footage, because now we can stream it back to the phone before downloading it.
You can also now update the firmware and speed camera data from the app - it’s automatic when you connect, so it just pops up and asks.

Well done Thinkware! This has made the F200 an even better camera. 😀
