Review

It’s ok but I’m supposed to be able to connect 4 devices but only allowed two. And bit disappointed with complete series’s, to often I can only get some episodes of a series for example I can watch episode 1, 2, but then episode 3 wouldn’t be available to watch but episode 4 would be available, and it wouldn’t change. And also certain channels i can’t watch even though they are supposed to be available to watch, this would change a lot. And I think I should be allowed to watch all (well at least 70%) of my channels from my package. But now I can’t get channels to work at all. Keeps saying can’t play this channel at the moment. Been like that for 2 days now. Every Channel bar 3! What’s going on???

Unreliable.

This has to be the most bug infested app ever. Let me list just a few of the problems which *never* get solved. When watching “live TV” the app won’t allow certain programmes to show. Instead you get a message saying something like “unfortunately because of rights restrictions this programme is not able to be viewed on your device” . Yet I can view it downstairs on the TV through Virgin. But not upstairs on my iPad through a virgin app. A service I am paying for. WHY? Secondly the live TV thumbnails - several are frozen on images of TV programmes from months ago. You can still watch what is showing, but the thumbnails don’t match. Annoying. Thirdly there are the intermittent shutdowns of all ‘live tv’ “we are sorry but this content is not available” and then, fourth, you *cannot* delete the app from I cloud storage, so you can never download a completely fresh version and start again. In fact apple itself admits that ‘some apps can never be deleted” what the heck is all that about?? Sorry to say this app could be so good if only it was not riddled with problems in the ‘live tv’ section. Yes I have the latest software on my iPad Pro 2019. V 4.

TV Go App needs to turn the 360 box on

Hello Virgin Media, My wife and I have just moved on to the Virgin Media 360 boxes. Due to her disability she has found the remote controls which comes with the 360 box almost impossible to use so has started to use the TV Go app to control the box. One issue we have come across is that the app has no way of turning on the 360 box but the box can be turned off from the app. Please can this be sorted if possible.

UPDATE: Thank you Virgin Media for your reply. Our 360 Box was already on Active Start but when the start option was changed to Fast Start the Virgin Go app can now turn on the 360 box. Star rating moved up to 4 star. If you can make the buttons at the top and the bottom of the Home Screen bigger to allow someone with limited hand control to use them quickly with an iPad mouse pointer then that would make the app much easier to use and my review will go up to 5 star.

Developer Response ,

Hi demo11halleys,

Could you see whether changing the box to Active Start solves the issue?
