Annoying

I Read an article get half way through the page, have to leave the app then go back and it resets to the all magazines page! Why do I have to reopen the magazine and find where I left it! So annoying! What's the point in reading through the app!

Hang on a mo - its not half bad

2023 update… this feels old now.. a bad pdf reader type experience.

NB: The December 2010 issue of Wired magazine on iPad was a one-off publication. Regular iPad versions of Wired will begin in 2011. Having read the US version this was more than welcome. Its cheaper than the print version and has some nice interactive content as well as the usual. The imagery looks great (mostly) and the portrait to landscape stuff works well; if users are having issues they should take time to read the instructions before they complain here. Bravo chaps and chapesses. Suggestions - The ability to back up editions, I might not want to carry around a full years worth and I don't want to have to download an edition more than once if I fancy having a read of it again in a few months. Additional streaming of content might be an idea to reduce the massive size / bulk out the content Background downloads - half a gig is a long wait.

Content is great though the app and customer service is extremely disappointing.

The content and journalism has always been top notch. No doubt. Though the bureaucracy of reporting a bug seems completely unhelpful and hindering.

I have emailed and called Condé Nast UK regarding an issue with the layout in the app and I have received the most gobsmacking “computer says no” moment. Immediate response was to report to Apple App Store though the issue has nothing to do with Apple. After over 40 days of contacting them I still have not received any confirmation, though I was promised.

Such a disappointment compared to the US Wired app.
