Zero support

I don’t understand why people are giving five stars. I cannot change my address or phone number!!!!!!!!! and there is no support without a transaction number. Conclusion: the equivalent of a fast food operation, if you don’t expect much you won’t be disappointed.
Another annoying detail is that the World Remit ‘Merchant’ category is inconsistent between countries, some are registered as ‘cash’ and some not consequently if your card has a cash limit and the payment is higher than your limit, it will fail even though you might be paying for products or services. This kind of detail reflects on the quality of the app.
Another detail.... it doesn’t work if you are using a VPN.... no explanation, just trail and error revealed that, another detail missed.

Transfers take a very long time 7 days and still counting

I’m not sure how this app got its 4.7 stars! It doesn’t even deserve a 2. Beware of their timeframe promise - it’s a farse. World remit promises transactions completed in minutes however I’ve been waiting 7 days for funds to be credited to a bank account. I have had to sit in a chat room on several occasions with each session lasting no less than 30mins with zero resolution at the end. Only failed promises. As I write this review funds sent has still not been received by recipient. Each time I am told that the funds are with their “local partner” and will be delivered soon. What is soon? How long is soon? Heaven forbid you need to send money in an emergency! My advise is to stay away and find a more reliable company to work with. Who are these local partners anyway? Some person physically walking to a bank to deliver funds into a bank account?? This is the only logical explanation for such abysmal service. Considering the advancement of technology and innovation, this really shouldn’t be happening. The most annoying thing here is you have to chase your updates. If a transaction is taking longer than normal I expect you to reach out and assure me that all is well. And please tell customers the truth rather than sending generic messages so we know what exactly we are dealing with! Refine your process and find alternative ways to deliver funds on behalf of your customers!

Useless crap

I wasn’t even able to send a transfer as my verification wasn’t completed almost a week later. You are not able to do anything in this app without prior contacting customer service which is just so unhelpful and waste of time. You can’t change even your personal details, like email or address and you are not able to close the account yourself. I spoke with 4 different consultants as to why does it take so long for my verification to be made. Only the 4th one told me that they found my picture not clear enough (the rest continuously told me to wait and wait) and that I should have an email regarding this. I didn’t receive any email and I checked spam as well. She advise me to uninstall and install the app again but how was it helpful if the data would still be saved? I asked her to delete my account then so I can start again and firstly she said she can’t do it. Only when I said that I have right to do so she said she will. Then, she didn’t delate my account but disabled it instead. Now, I’m unable to make a new account as my data is still there and I’m unable to log in either as the account is disabled. I lost a lot of time and nerves on this app and it was not worth it at all. Honestly, I don’t get where all the good reviews came from.

Update: I downloaded TransferGo and whole process took me few minutes with everything. I can recommend that app instead of this one
