Here's how to sign up to Fido:
- Download the Fido App and register only once.
- Confirm your details with a valid ID (NIN / Ghana Card) and an address.
- You must be over the age of 18.
- Complete the Fido Score assessment.
- If you are a business, complete you business information.

Fido personal credit and business loans are intended to assist entrepreneurs and individuals with their everyday needs and not to service long-term debt obligations. Maximum Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is 36%. Actual rates may be lower, depending on local applicable laws and regulations. This is based on a credit line term of 365 days (one year), an interest of 0.098% per day or 2.94% per month, a processing fee of 295 GHS per credit line, and in certain cases, a deductible commitment fee of up to 1.6%.
Representative Example in Ghana Cedi:
A borrower who receives credit of 2,000 GHS for a 365 days term, will be charged an interest rate of 0.098% per day, thus 408.7 GHS in 365 days, and a processing fee of 295 GHS, summing up to a total repayment of 703.7 GHS. A deductible 1.4% commitment fee is applied, and 28 GHS will be deducted from the principal.
In summary: 2,000 GHS (borrowed amount), minus 28 GHS (commitment fee) + 408.7 GHS (interest) + 295 GHS (processing fee) = 2,703.7 GHS (total payment).
The borrower has the flexibility to make early repayments at any point, thereby reducing the above-stated interest.

I have been a customer of this your service for time now and i must commend you for your good works. But then i think some few issues needs to be addressed as it should be. Now this is my problem, i have always borrowed and paid back as required of me but then with my last transactions i delayed in paying back due to some circumstances but i still paid as expected. And for months now the system has refused to give me funds which some of us this is our only hope if we need urgent funds. I my opinion, some customers should be treated based on their previous transactions not just one which they defaulted in a way. Imagine all customers default and are refused funds, how is your service going to run again? Issues like this should be addressed so we are all ok at least.

Fido 😭😭 I’m very sorry defaulted. I have been a loyal customer which you attest to, paid my loan on time when I am due, submitted my business documents, I was ready and prayed for a bigger loan until my condition became critical 10days ago, I had go for a hysterectomy surgery with the little savings I made at my shop, because of the pain and my condition it’s escaped me since I was using Vodafone instead of mtn hence the network challenge, I eventually misplaced the mtn sim. I was discharged yesterday 12th Sept. Got home and had to use my mtn and checked on Fido later in the evening and realized I was 6days overdue for payment 😭😭😭I was driven with my pain, laying at the backseat screaming to mtn office to cut my sim and got home and pay my loan with little I had with plus my sister in-law top up. And I was informed I’m not eligible for a loan 😭😭😭😭. Meanwhile I have no money on me for feeding , prescriptions I brought home to buy and also to be visiting the hospital back for dressing of my wound omg , I’m finished! Fido you have been supportive but on my day in need I just can’t stop crying. Please help me I beg of you. I’m depressed already please don’t kill me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏻

Poor Experience With Loans After Overdue Payment

I’ve used Fido for a while and the app itself works fine, but the loan experience has become very frustrating. After having one overdue payment in the past, Fido completely stopped giving me access to new loans — even after I fully settled everything.There’s no clear explanation, no re-evaluation process, and no way to build your credit back within the app. It feels like one mistake permanently blocks you, which defeats the purpose of a financial service that should support responsible users who correct their errors.Fido can be helpful, but the rigid loan policy and lack of transparency make the experience disappointing. I hope they improve how they review customers in the future.

I am happy with the fact that you get an instant alert right after applying, my only problem is the commitment fee you charge plus the interest rates on payment are rather high. I request for a loan and I don’t get the actual money I need so I have to go and look for extra money elsewhere to add up and also pay a high interest rate in a months time? That is not fair and I feel something should be done about it. Compared to other loan apps that I have been using, they don’t charge commitment fee plus the interest rate is not this high. Kindly work on it for us but in all I love your service. Thank you
