Discover a new secure way to shop online using your NBG cards!
Now you can approve your online purchases with your cards using the new NBG Authenticator app.
NBG Authenticator provides enhanced payment authentication when you make online purchases, in line with the latest EU security regulations.
How it works:
• sign in to the app by activating your PIN or fingerprint
• register your NBG cards
• each time you buy something from an e-shop with your cards, you’ll automatically receive a push notification to login to the app and approve or decline the purchase

Not for prepaid cards?
Prepaid (virtual) cards do not have a PIN, as far as I know. Therefore not possible to login. Maybe the online vendor should not be requesting this form of authentication for virtual cards? Same vendor, on other occasions, does not request approval through the Authenticator. Also, the identity check page does not offer the alternative methods mentioned.
Useless app
Please, stop this madness! You can’t test your app on actual clients before you are sure is working. Can’t buy anything with this card because of this never loading app. You cost me time and lots of frustration. App should be an option for someone who wants to used it not the only option. You got bad reviews from few moths now why don’t you listen?
iPhone XR does not have fingerprint sensor
As a result, the app is waiting forever in the fingerprint registration page. Unacceptable bug! In addition, I do not have enabled Face ID not even planning to do it. My authentication method is PIN and I expect your app to respect it and work with it. Please respect your clients and provide an application that works! One star is high review rate for such a low quality app!
