Took my money and didn’t give me a card or the transportation credit

This App and the company octopus behind it is a complete joke. Followed instructions for a card. Paid HK$ 150 and then received no card in Apple wallet and was then asked to do the same again. No response from Octopus help lines, spent two hours on international roaming with Apple who shared my screen and rand system diagnostics and couldn’t understand why I didn’t get the card/credit or refund the money. They explained the only resolution was to connect with Octopus…. But they don’t respond at all. Next I will be writing to HK Police and HK Tourist board as I guess many people pay the money and then just give up as they were only here for a short visit. I guess Octopus must just then pocket the tourists money! !!! A huge embarrassment to Hong Kong

Do not use this app. It’s a scam. They ask you to put money on the card before issuing it to your phone., but once you pay you get nothing. I’m surprised Apple is allowing this app to scam people. It should be banned

My credit card company charged me the real exchange rate of my currency and $HK. This app forces you to choose a foreign currency to be charged with. When tried to top up 1000 $HK in $US it was 136. Checking the real exchange rate and it was 128. Charging 8 $US as a fee!!!!!.No thanks. Deleted.
Weixin Pay is now available as a payment method in Octopus App for Tourists, making payments easier when visiting Hong Kong!
