Hello, I’ve got a son and he’s got the an post money mate current account. He loves it a lot, and so do I! It makes life a lot easier. But there was one thing my son wish they added, as of now, only the parent can freeze the child’s debit card and not the child themselves. I’d give the card a 5 star if the child had a bit more access to stuff like what the parent did. For some examples, maybe be able to freeze your own card when your out just incase you lose it.
Overall, amazing card! Would definitely recommend it!

Stuck in USA and app won’t let me load money on or confirm security on app
An post should be ashamed of themselves for this poor attempt at just taking peoples money and not providing a service, please stick to delivering letters and stop failing at banking services. If I could give zero stars I would shameful, unprofessional, and unpleasant experiences with an post app. Cutting all banking ties with an post when I get home , thank god for real banks like BOI and AIB, don’t take a risk just use a real bank.
I just got a please contact the developer request to help solve problem, I think with all the 1 star reviews from heartbroken customers you know what the problem is and can’t fix it so PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS APP OR SERVICE IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED ACCESS TO A DIFFERENT CURRENCY. They have let me down for the 2 weeks of my holiday and caused nothing but stress and aggravation I had to use every trick in my IT book just to put money on the card with no way of checking any transactions.
Absolute nightmare, I will NEVER use this app or service again , life and vacations are too short for using an app that doesn’t work properly.

App is not a good advert for what lies ahead.
I downloaded the app, version 2.0.31 to give it a go as my current bank (Ulsterbank) is soon pulling out of IRL. I am running the latest version of iOS. I entered my email address and chose a password when prompted. The next screen asked me to enter my email address and password, told me password and email are incorrect, (note: I received no notice to register in the interim) Stupidly, I thought I had forgot the password I had just set so chose the ‘forgot password’ option. Next I was directed to enter security questions which I had never been asked to set, however I proceeded as I thought it was part of a set up process. The app told me that the info provided does not match the records. So that was the end of my journey with An Post Money. If this is the set up process I can only imagine what’s ahead when dealing with transactions of my hard earned money. App deleted , No thanks!!
