Canara Bank launches “Canara ai1” Mobile Banking Super App with more than 250 features integrated with the futuristic vision of “One Bank, One App”.

An intuitive app with enhanced User Interface & User Experience, “Canara ai1” Mobile Banking Super App offers a host of customer centric functionalities such as multi-mode funds transfer viz. UPI, RTGS,NEFT & IMPS, Fixed and Recurring Deposit opening,Fastag Recharge, Pay EMI / loans, scheduled payments, Nomination, Integrated Bill Pay, Integrated UPI etc., as additional features.

The app gives unique experience by providing option to customize the dashboard and choose the application theme of user choice (light/dark). App also features SCAN & PAY facility in the pre login screen.

Steps to install:

1. Install Canara ai1 mobile app.
2. After successful installation open app by clicking new Canara ai1 icon.
3. Click on next button to continue after selecting the SIM having Registered Mobile Number with the Bank. SMS will be initiated from the selected SIM; Ensure balance is available to send the SMS successfully.
4. After successful Mobile Number validation, an OTP will be sent to your Registered Mobile Number.
5. Enter the OTP received and continue.
6. You will be redirected to create and confirm your 5 digits numeric PASSCODE for login to the application.
7. Accept the Terms & Conditions after successfully creating the PASSCODE.
8. Grant the permissions requested during the registration process to access all aplication features.
9. Before initiating any mobile Banking transactions, you need to create and confirm new 6 digits numeric MPIN for authenticating transactions.
10. Click on ‘SET NOW’ to activate your Mobile Banking facility using active debit card details/activation code (Visit home branch for generating the activation code).

Provide support for older ios versions

The app is only supporting ios17 or later versions which is a big let down because there are so many people who use older devices. Canara bank has to support older versions or bring out a lite version of the app for older ios versions. It will help a lot of people owning iPhone to use the app without changing the phone just because of ai1 app. For perspective, the peer bank apps are compatible as follows; SBI: ios 12 or later PNB : iOS 11 or later BOB : iOS 13 or later Please look into the issue and improve compatibility with older versions. People will put more money in your bank instead of wasting it on new iPhone.

Update:

When Apple itself is providing the security updates for seven years.. then I feel Canara Bank can provide updates for at least 3-4 yr old versions..

Just for canara Ai1 app, a customer will not buy a new phone. He will just uninstall the app and continue using the phone.. That is a loss to canara bank and not to customer or Apple.

Please look into it. Especially as the peer banks are supporting way more than canara bank.

Worst feature rich and unusable app ever

This app is unnecessarily boasted of being able to provide 350 plus features. Whereas it lacks the very basic feature a customer is going to use. Poor fund transfer speeds, frequent failures of transaction, poor registration process, UI made more complicated with each update, Worst UPI interface and functionalities, in digital age at ine point the aim is to provide hassle free and fast banking and to my surprise this app has failed miserably. At least look into the analytics developers? How many users are registered on app versus who are actually using it for txns? No one. It is best only for something and that is viewing balance or transactions nothing else. Earlier it used to have viewing virtual card feature but for some weird reason in the name of enhancing security you guys have disabled it too. Then why the option to view card is there in app? To confuse the users? Disgusting. One may keep clicking on view card thinking the app has hanged or the mobile has issue but no the reason is in the name of providing security the developer have hindered the usage of basic features. Please note instead of providing 300 features you just give a landing page simple with no tantrums in basic font fund transfer, Upi , Cards, account details , loans and deposits. Thats it ! Learn from phone pe/ gpay or peer bank apps doing one thing but doing it perfectly so that the app remains usable

Bad Service

If a customer single handedly believe in Canara the user will definitely going to struggle. The UPI service fails most of the time. The bank application itself is full of bug. It exits automatically and when try to login in the middle of payment it says system busy. This happens even at 7am and even at 11pm. This application is developed just for branding. Full of bugs and so on. The login otp or message are received after 30 minutes. I am currently on a 5G network with a speed of around 200+ mbps and with plenty of data balance left, the application always says you are on a slow network. This is with everyone. I think this application is not developed for 5G users, probably for upcoming 6G or 7G users. This is the worst service anyone could get. Always need to keep another banking partner along with me while you where filling petrol or paying at hotels. Please carry money as Coins and notes otherwise you have to suffer and they will take you back to some time in 2010 or 2011 where there is ATM service only. Please improve yourself. Customers are there for service and it’s not for your service.
