Registration process:

YONO is supported on iOS 8 and above.

Ø Install/Update new version of App from App Store and open.

Ø Allow all required permission (location, make/manage phone calls).

Ø Select SIM of CBS Registered Mobile Number (RMN) and allow for SMS permission and submit NEXT.

Ø An encrypted SMS with a unique code will be sent from the device to a pre-defined Number 7718965316 to verify the customer. Kindly note that for sending the SMS standard SMS charges are applicable as per your telecom plan. The SIM should have active outgoing SMS facility. In some devices, the user may have to allow sending the SMS from the outbox.

Ø If there are multiple CIFs attached with same mobile number, system will prompt for the account number and DOB for finding out a unique customer by the mobile number.

Ø If the customer is already having online banking facility of SBI, App will automatically prompt to proceed to Register on YONO with existing user credentials (Online Banking User ID and Password). After entering User ID and Password, customer will receive an OTP on Registered Mobile Number. User has to enter the OTP in the app to complete registration with an optional setting of MPIN.

Ø If the existing SBI customer is not having Online banking credentials, App will prompt to proceed to create INB credential using “Account Details” and “ATM Card” based registration process.

Ø If Non RMN SIM is selected, User will land on account opening screen. If customer claims that selected SIM is already registered with bank , user needs to visit nearest branch with KYC for updating/validating the mobile number in bank account.

As an enhanced security feature and for regulatory compliance, the registration process for YONO SBI mobile application has been modified. In the new version user's registered mobile number (RMN) with bank will be validated through SMS and users has to ensure the presence of registered mobile number in the User's device.

MPIN option disabled

I have updated the latest version. I am trying to use MPIN option. Even after enabling the lock in my iPhone it says “For Login by MPIN please enable device lock in your device”. Kindly let me know if I have to do something for this. All my other apps are enabled for device lock feature and working fine.

Thanks for the response provided. But please refer my request. I am also interested in enabling this security feature and that is what I am not able to do in my app. Your reply has not solved the issue

Hi ! Apologies for the inconvenience. In the latest version of YONO, the app will function on mobile devices which are enabled with any types of device lock (passcode, pattern, biometric etc). This feature is added as an enhanced security feature to protect customer’s interests while dealing with sensitive information. Team YONO SBI

Yono App latest version is not suitable for mobiles

It’s impossible to get my registered mobile number re register in yono app. I sent sms to SBI more than 10 times & the reply comes - “We are unable to process your request. Please try after some times”. I was unable to use your app since 2-3 months. Even most of the commercial apps instruct us not to prefer SBI Banking option.
Yours is a defunct app. Am charged for every SMS sent but your banking system says - Please try after some time.
On one hand Honourable PM Modi is promoting entire nation to go online transactions & here our banking system is defunct having some problem or the other. If this continues I ll report & question both PMO & Honourable Finance Minister to set right the system before enforcing online transactions over citizens.

I was a Acc holder in SBI since 1983 but now it’s one of the failed banks where customers are subjected to all kinds of harassments which I had reported to Honourable PM two yrs back. Then onwards there were some banking reforms but our SBI never came outta its rusted network. Now even commercial apps are instructing not to opt transactions through SBI. It’s the present sad state of our nation😥😥.

Poor IT support on InstaPlus Account opening after Video KYC

I selected insta plus account opening without branch visit and video KYC successfully completed by capturing phots of ids.I logged in and tried to proceed further but the app says “Sorry due to some technical issue not able to open account “. Tried for hours but it keeps showing this error. On contacting YONO via email with screenshot, they ask me to try again else go to branch. At branch they are of opinion of get this done online as it’s total online process. I’m worried about security of online data already captured by them. IT department of SBI is not supportive enough to customer issues. When you can’t do online activation of accounts even after successful video KYC the why are you starting such online account opening schemes. Just show off business ? Do your IT team really capable ? Can you resolve this matter and activate my account? So pathetic online service. Your app can’t even complete a simple transaction of opening an account after capturing all data and successful completion of videoKYC!!!
