The new “Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X” Application enabled with Bluetooth technology serves a seamless experience of riding and upkeep to the customers in unique ways.
The introduction of “Bluetooth enabled technology” aims to bring potential benefits through a host of safety and practical features to the customers. Initially this feature will be made available with FZS-FI Darknight variant. However, entire series of FZ-FI & FZS-FI (150cc) motorcycles can upgrade to this technology by buying the device as an extra accessory at Authorized Yamaha Dealerships & connect to Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X.
Key Features of Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X App:
• Answer Back - Upon engaging this feature, the bike indicators start blinking and horn starts beeping.
• Riding History - You can view individual trip details of every ride.
• Locate My Bike - Press this feature to locate your bike in parking area. When activated, the all 4 indicators will illuminate for 10 seconds, letting you know the exact location.
• E-Lock - Electronically allows you to lock your bike with your mobile phone and prevent theft by using the E-Lock feature.
• Hazard - Upon clicking the button, all the indicators start blinking continuously, to notify fellow riders on the road to be cautious.
• Parking Record – shows you a route map from your current location to where you have parked your bike.

Irritating pattern lock
They should give option to disable this pattern lock.
Because in iPhone we have to connect bike manually whenever we starts bike. It’s totally waste of time.
Also too many unwanted pop up comes.
Also they should give option to clear riding history.
Here is some facts :
This system dose not check your speed from speedometer. It will count your riding time and distance after that shows average speed.
Which may be incorrect. Because if you take stops on signal light etc. It will count that time also.
Geo location tracking is awesome.
Needs cell network to start
God forbid you are stuck in a basement parking with bare minimum or no cell reception. Because the app won’t connect nor start the bike without cell data first. I have no clue why, but doesn’t it do 99% of everything via Bluetooth? Why insist on cell network to START the app? It takes a good three minutes for the app to open the first time in the day, and sync with Bluetooth, even though I’ve attempted a reinstall and gone through multiple app updates. The app needs to load faster, and def rely less on cell network…. N MORE ON BLUETOOTH as it’s supposed to.
Wish I could give the app five stars, but thanks to this, I’ll only give it a single star.
Not Worth the Pain
I have been using it from last few days but it has got very many issues to be addressed i am listing few:
1. The connection should not require the app to be opened every time - like it happens with bluetooth headphone and speakers it should connect automatically without triggering the application in phone
2. The alert for ignition on/off and other alerts are useless. You can put a status bar in corner which would show the same rather than throwing an alert everytime
3. Add more features- please add features which makes it more interesting. It is plain and boring app to be very modest
4. E- Lock - please provide an option where i can remove it
5. When app is not connected and i have used the bike it does not show the trip information- it should atleast display the time distance speed etc if not the route.
I can add many but let the developers think🤨
