App developer doesn’t know their own app
I wrote a review of the app here and received a response from the app developer. Unfortunately app developer’s response left me completely dumbfounded...... my complaint was that we are not able to to transfer money via app to any account number which was not previously saved as favourites .. app developer actually said “ hi you can go to move money and click on transaction” has this app developer never checked out his or her own app before? Has he or she not seen all these other comments here saying the same thing? OBVIOUSLY clicking on move money and then transaction only leads to transferring money to accounts which were saved as payees previously but I guess app developer doesn’t know that.

Hi veron. thank you for reaching out to us. You can easily perform fund transfer to your saved payee(s). Just tap on the "Move Money" tab, select "Pay and transfer" and fill in the required details. Thank you^^NP
Nice banking app, user friendly
Overall speaking the app is user friendly, simple yet serves the purpose and straightforward. But one thing that could be improved is to separate the unbilled instalment amount from the main display amount because i usually look at the main amount to estimate the monthly payment that i need to make, but when i saw the main amount with the huge amount (from instalment), it discourages me to use the card, psychologically. Standard Chartered app is doing good in that part.

Enable Biometric Authentication.
While the new app is fluid, it lacks the much needed Touch/Face ID authentication at least to be able to compare the banking app with the others in the market who have embraced it much earlier. Also having a in app authentication method which is secured by additional passcode would make the cost lower by you scrapping off the physical device issued now. What’s stopping HSBC Malaysia from doing the same? As consumers move onwards fin-tech globally, it’s a shame for HSBC Malaysia to hold back such a feature from it’s Malaysian consumers.
