I booked an Apartment from the Apps earlier this month for 1 night stay for me and my friend.upon arriving at the Apartment (after a long drive), the owner said there is NO booking under my name. I told him that I booked through Agoda and he offer to check his system only to find out that the SAME ROOM with SAME DATE was also confirmed by AGODA for others person.I was DEJECTED!. I travel all the way from Kedah to Shah Alam only to know that the room that I booked was not confirm but, agoda did send me a confirmation voucher.I wasted my time and my money for nothing. Agoda customer service apps is useless it will only directed our inquiry to the virtual operator which is once again USELESS!Wasted another 3 Hours to find a new place with low budget (since I spend my money to the apartment). Lastly, only get to book an average hotel far from Shah Alam city 🥲Request for a refund on the same date, but can only get within 30 Working Days! Funny, you can take my money within second for non-existing booking but need 30 working days to refund it back to me? There is no use if you earn AGODA VIP status they will still treat you as nothing.

Agoda has cancelled my booking.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience using Agoda. I was searching for a hotel and found a room at a cheaper price, so I immediately made the booking. However, shortly after that, I received an email saying that my booking had been cancelled by Agoda and now I have to wait up to 30 days for my refund.What makes this even more upsetting is that when I checked Agoda again, the same room was suddenly listed at a much higher price. I even contacted the hotel directly, and they informed me that the room was actually still available. This means the cancellation did not come from the hotel side, but from Agoda itself.This experience feels very unfair and misleading to customers. It caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience, especially after making payment and thinking the booking was confirmed. I hope Agoda can improve its booking system and pricing transparency because this is a very bad customer experience.

Property deposit and bad review

The apps its been good but i hope developers make property tell if they need for deposit before check in, this is base on my own experience some property didn’t tell if we need deposit or not they only tell us to deposit right before we going to check in, the deposit is part is ok but we just need property tell as in the apps, this is bcause some property didn’t give back our deposit back and some take so much time like 3-5 days, they promise will give us back the deposit in 2 working days but by my pass experience its take more 2 days or some 1 week and 1 experience never give back our deposit then when we complain or give bad review the property deleted our review soooo please not much for the deposit but its our money so pleaseeeeeee give this a. This is been have been our bad experience in this apps, consideration to the apps update, i will give 5 star if you update this, thanks

Agoda appears to work in the interest of property owners rather than customers. I booked a studio room and tried multiple times to contact the property for key collection and access details, but there was no response on WhatsApp and no one answered the phone calls. Due to this lack of communication, I had no choice but to cancel the booking. However, the payment was not refunded.The next day, I booked another hotel. When I arrived at the time of check-in, the booking had been cancelled. The front office staff at De Boutique Hotel informed me that there were many empty rooms and questioned why Agoda had cancelled my reservation.Additionally, when I made a booking directly in front of the reception, Agoda confirmed a booking for a different hotel that I did not request. This caused significant confusion and inconvenience.Overall, my experience with Agoda has been extremely frustrating. The process felt misleading and unfair, resulting in unnecessary stress and financial loss for customers.
