Payday: Global Money Transfer 4+

Guard your money wisely by staying away from this platform. I paid over $1500 on my virtual card and was unable to use it, I laid a complaint which was followed by 2 unauthorized debit from the same person using palmpay account. I made an official complaint since 19th of April when the incident occurred but I am yet to get a response to my email. To avoid further debit, I requested that a lien be placed on the account pending the time their issue is resolved and I am able to safely recover what is left of my money from them safely. I had also changed my password.
My original complaint is the inability to use my virtual card for transactions, and also the inability to withdraw my fund to a platform where it can be utilized. Their response to that had always been that they have issues which is being looked into, but there is no timeline to resolution.
It came to me as a shock today when I got some round of unauthorized debit transactions on my card. How can a card that have consistently declined my own transactions even after several complain, allow unauthorized debits on my account. My $1500 os gone and payday is yet to respond to my complaints. Nobody to call or speak with, no empathy . It is safe to conclude that funds moved to this platform is warehoused for the use of fraudsters waiting to feast on it.

As I am concern no one should use this Payday service until I write another review giving credit to them. It’s been 3 month my card service was stopped for no good reasons and was asked to create another card which I did with with extra more charges, after creation of the card it went pending since then I contacted support and they promised to resolve the issue that same week, but it’s been 3 month waiting and constantly checking up on them without any useful feedback always saying they are working on it (working on resolving card creation issue for 3 month?) too bad if everyone has to wait this longer for just a card creation. And this caused me some transaction then. The worst part of it you won’t be able to withdraw any penny you put in this app (you will be told service unavailable to withdraw your own money oh). Please for your own good don’t patronize this PayDay service for now until you read another review from me telling you to do so, or else you will learn the hard way just like I did.

From applications, you can tell a lot about the companies behind them. Some offer very pleasant and efficient experiences, while others will make you want to fight. Unfortunately, payday is one of those that will rile you up. Some of the issues I experienced are:

1. Verification issues: Right off the bat, you can tell that the technology supporting this app is quite poor. It look more than a day and tens of tries to get my face verified on the app before I could open my account. The picture that was taken always ended up being blurry once the shutter was pressed.
2. Delays: BVN verification is quite important for financial transactions in Nigeria. Verifying my BVN was a big issue and also took more than two days. The response from the app made me believe that it’s either a central bank database issue or an API issue. Either way I wasn’t pleased.
3. Tedious log in process: You would think that after facing many hurdles in the registration process, it would be smooth sailing from here. You thought wrong! I have to be sent an OTP every time I log in with my email and password. I wonder if the banks that use biometric authentication have two heads. It should be noted that I had already selected the biometric authentication option within the app.

Conclusion
The above issues amongst others have led me to conclude that the promoters of the company are not serious business people and maybe the product was rushed to market.
