The We Connect ID. app is the digital partner for your ID. model


With the free app, as the primary user, you can view the current range of your Volkswagen ID. vehicle, pre-set your preferred temperature, find charging stations and much more!


All the benefits of the We Connect ID. app at a glance*:

Vehicle connectivity:
• View your remaining range and current charge level even when you're not in the vehicle.
• Start and stop charging sessions.
• Select your vehicle temperature spontaneously to suit you.
• Activate your vehicle’s air conditioning in advance of your usual departure times.
• Send destinations to your vehicle with ease before you travel.
• Contact your preferred authorised workshop or Volkswagen AG directly.
• Electric Vehicle Route Planner for route planning that takes available charging stations and current remaining range into consideration.

For vehicles in the ID. family from ID. Software 3.0** with an active We Connect or We Connect Plus contract, the app also supports the following functions:

• View your last Parking Position.
• Check whether all the doors and windows are closed and the light is switched off.
• Check whether the vehicle is locked.
• Temperature notifications in cold weather to prevent the cold affecting battery performance.

• Log in to own user profile in the infotainment system easily using a code scanner.

These functions are optimised for Volkswagen models in the ID. family. Use the Volkswagen We Connect app for the full range of functions in other Internet-ready Volkswagen models.

Please note that for security reasons, not all functions are available to a vehicle’s registered guest user.

We Charge:

• Search and find charging stations and check real-time availability (including IONITY high-speed charging network).
• Display charging station details including the operator and charging capacity.
• Charging on the go: purchase charging plans, manage charging cards and view charging history.
• Charging at home: connect and manage your ID. Charger (Connect / Pro) and Elvi Charger (Connect / Pro).



Download the We Connect ID. app free of charge using the button. Updates are also available via the button. If you do not perform available updates, you may not be able to access the full range of functions in their entirety.

With Volkswagen ID registration available in the app, it’s quick and easy to connect with your smartphone.
You can give us feedback straight from the app.
We welcome praise, suggestions and constructive criticism. Please also let us know if something doesn’t work, the technology is playing up, or there are any other issues.


*The scope of function may vary depending on vehicle configuration. Certain functions may become available at a later date.
To use the We Connect services, you need a Volkswagen ID user account and to log in to We Connect with your username and password. A separate contract must also be concluded online with Volkswagen AG.
** You can find the ID. Software version in your infotainment system’s main menu under Setup -> System information

Over 26 month of experience and endless poor functionality is topped up with issues and disfunctionality after each shop upgrade at car.

Each time after upgrade functionality is lowered, evrything have to be reconfigured

Our id3 have Nick name comodore 64 and app is proving non resoect of endusers by VAG

VAG, please do not use your customers as a lab rats

Anyway we are done and leave VAG forever as soon as we get our new EV 6!

Mulighet til å starte hurtiglading fungerer 2/5 ganger. Dette er et morsomt lotteri for alle som er ute på langtur. Da det ikke blir gitt noen form for advarsel om at dette kan vekke en underliggende spilleavhengighet får appen kun 2/5 stjerner.

Som en liten bonus presenterer Volkswagen feilmeldingen med orddelingsfeil. "Lade priser kan ikke vises for øyeblikket." Dette kan få en til å fundere på om vi har klart å lære aper å kode. Morsomt.
