Google Authenticator works with 2-Step Verification for your Google Account to provide an additional layer of security when signing in.
With 2-Step Verification, signing into your account will require both your password and a verification code you can generate with this app. Once configured, you can get verification codes without the need of a network or cellular connection.
- Automatic setup via QR code

This app has a major flaw. The app itself doesn’t require a password or biometric scan. It just opens revealing all the codes. So if someone has your phone, the 2 factor authentication is really one factor. Surely Google can fix this.
Needs backup option
This app would be perfect but I got thinking what would happen if I lost my phone. The app doesn’t backup the enrolled codes.
Just needs one thing... Ability to back up configuration to iCloud.
That way, if the app is deleted for whatever reason, you have the settings backed up to iCloud.
