Love this app best food online order and delivery company
Just want to say this company has been great comparing with a few years back. A few years back it was shocking! No delivery, just pickup service, with a few restaurants doing delivery will need to wait for hours to deliver. But now they have heaps good local restaurants (more than Uber eats), drivers is so professional ( always saw an Asian driver wearing their shinny orange uniform and greeting nicely) the food were delivered on time most of time. And I have stopped using Uber eats and delivery easy since then! Five stars app
Too unreliable to be useful - poor service
This app allows you to order and pay for food that will never arrive. The app takes payment and submits your order which then looks for a driver. At least 50% of the time no drivers will be in the area and you’ll find out TWO hours later that your order has been “delivered” which is the default on the system if it takes too long. Imagine the confusion when that happens?!
That’s when the fun begins….. when calling the Indian based customer service centre (probably just some guys house in Mumbai) you’ll be explaining in several different ways to try and explain your problem but just end up putting the phone down in frustration. I followed up several times with emails and chats but every time they claimed to have no record of the conversations.
Avoid like the plague! Just get in your car and pick up your food instead.
Never again
I only ever use menulog when I’m sick, as the food options aren’t great and we often face long waits for delivery. I don’t think I’ve ever had an order with decent food, no missing items, and a reasonable delivery time. (Note that they frequently change the delivery time after you order with no way to cancel it)
This time around, our order was cancelled by menulog after a 2 hour wait. The operator who called to inform of this lied and said that the driver had accidentally marked it delivered too soon and therefore could not complete the delivery. I had just called the restaurant we ordered from and been informed that the food was in fact never picked up.
Please keep in mind that the refunds they offer as an ‘apology’ in these situations are the bare minimum that they are legally required to do for failing to provide the service you paid for.
The conversation also showed that they did not care that I’d had this happen before and had no real intention of taking any steps to prevent it happening in the future. That and the lies were the last straw.
This isn’t the first time we’ve had poor service, but it will definitely be the last as I will never be using menulog again.
