Parking woes? Say no more. ParkMate is here to help you find a car park, get directions, and pay for your parking, every time you need to park. Choose from over 400 car parks across New Zealand.

How ParkMate helps you:
· Convenient – search for car parks close to your destination to save time.
· Cost effective – no need to guess your time, simply hit start at the beginning and stop at the end of your session. You can also add more time to your session from the app if you’re using a prepaid option.

Looks good so far

The update looks good will reserve final judgement for when I try to use it but after all the notifications that the update was coming then delayed and you’d tell us when it was ready I didn’t get one to tell me it was. There was some setting up to make sure so would have been frustrating to find out the next time I wanted to use the park rather than yesterday when I was checking

Fraudulent company

The app works fine, but the company is greedy and tricky costumers to purchase extra credit or include hidden costs (fake transaction fees) into their payment plans. They recently had a Cyber Monday promotional sale for 50% more credit with intentionally ill designed promotional details to hide the expiration date of the credit. Of course they also included the condition of mo refund and no transfer of credit for the poor customers who purchased more credits that they can realistically utilise until the expiration date. I call this fraudulent behavior and theft, which is very disappointing for a company connected to the well established Wilson company. They also use hidden and fake fees such as transaction fee on every transaction every if you use your already purchased credit in their app. And to complete the list, I should mentioned about their terrible costumer care. Their only way of communication about customer issues is by email or calling Wilson and asking to be redirected to ParkMate. No need to say that they did not respond to my email sent a week ago, and calling Wilson was not helping as they try connecting me to ParkMate in three separate occasions over different times of the day but there was no answer from them. I would avoid dealing with them and would directly use Wilson services for much better pricing and customer service.

Issue with Start-Stop Feature Overcharging

I've encountered a significant issue with the "start-stop" feature in the ParkMate app, which seems to malfunction by charging for full additional hours rather than pro-rating based on the actual minutes used. For example, I was recently charged for two hours when I only parked for one hour and two minutes. This has happened multiple times, leading to unfair overcharges.

I am requesting an urgent fix to this issue, as well as a refund for the overcharges. If this is not resolved promptly, I will consider escalating the matter to the Consumer Guarantees Act authorities. The app needs to perform as advertised, especially when overcharging can add up quickly for regular users.

Thanks for the feedback. The rater structures applied at sites are typically determined by the carpark operator and can vary from site to site, we just apply whatever has been asked for by them. We do work hard to ensure the rates are clear and transparent in the app however if you have found they are not we would absolutely like to get this resolved for you.
