Philippine Airlines 4+

✅ Update (1 Feb 2024) solved the previous bug experienced when trying to add again a future trip. The app was having a hard time connecting to the server, only the loading screen was appearing for many minutes. I was successful adding the trip to the app from my other phone, but not anymore in primary phone.

🛑 New layout in booking flights hopefully to be optimized for mobile apps. It appears like browsing the web - keeps scrolling, back option often at the very end part of the page.

I had high hopes for the Philippine Airlines app, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. The app is plagued with issues that make it almost unusable.

1. Frequent Crashes: The app crashes constantly, especially when I try to book a flight or check my itinerary. I have to restart it multiple times, which is incredibly frustrating.
2. Slow and Unresponsive: The app is very slow and often becomes unresponsive. Loading any page takes ages, and sometimes it doesn’t load at all, even with a stable internet connection.
3. Poor User Interface: The user interface is clunky and not intuitive. It’s hard to navigate, and simple tasks like finding flight details or checking in are overly complicated.
4. Login Issues: I frequently get logged out for no reason, and logging back in is a hassle. Sometimes, the app doesn’t recognize my credentials, even though they are correct.
5. Lack of Features: Compared to other airline apps, this one is lacking in basic features. There’s no option to manage my booking easily, and the check-in process is not streamlined.

Overall, the app needs a major overhaul. Until these issues are addressed, I’ll be avoiding using the Philippine Airlines app and would not recommend it to anyone.

Its my first time booking through the app and it was so smooth! Among all the flight apps i’ve tried this was top 1. I tried other app it denied my card so this was my last option but good thing i installed this app + its the only app that doesnt charge for a convenience fee. Love it! Will surely consider PAL on my next travels. Thank you!
