The app has huge potential. I like the word count feature and the statistics aspect. I love the reflection prompts. I also like the aesthetics and the overall idea, BUT… and here are a few important “buts” for me that make me still prefer using the Notes app for journaling on a daily basis.Firstly, the inability to use the app on my MacBook – I love writing on a keyboard rather than on a screen, and I also like having access from all my devices.Secondly, there is no easy way to export a single entry. Yes, I know it’s my private “diary,” but sometimes the line between something private and something inspiring that I want to share or add to my Zettelkasten system (because it holds value beyond just a memory) becomes blurred.Thirdly, there is no option to add tags. I love using tags in the Notes app, and I would like to be able to sort and browse entries easily by tags, for example, from trips, books, etc.If these things changed, I could easily recommend this app to everyone. For now, however, I recommend thinking it through first.
