Great for ppl who want to work shifts in F&B as and when they want in Singapore. You can tell this app was created and run by a team who thinks through the process - rating systems for both freelancers and businesses, deprioritising if you regularly cancel late, chat function for both parties prior to the shifts so that questions / doubts can be answered. Payment is also done weekly on Mondays, no delayed or missing payments so far. Highly recommend to all looking for ad-hoc jobs.

One of the fastest and easiest ways to secure a job in order to generate additional income is to book shifts through Staffie. Payment is very prompt, and queries were often answered in a timely manner. However, the rating system is a little inaccurate as some businesses’ managers may give you a 1-star rating even if they have a personal feud against you. Average rating can be affected even with just one 1-star rating, which means you can’t really book 90% of shifts. You never know which businesses blacklisted you from working with them so it’s like playing a guessing game. Bottomline, use this as a side hustle to earn money. However if someone isn’t suitable for a certain business, just blacklist him from the company itself. Moreover, a wide variety of roles is recommended instead of only the F&B sector.

This is a great app for those who needs flexible schedules. However I think there needs to be a penalty for business who cancels last min or cancels for no reason when you met their criteria stated in their contract originally . For businesses who wants highly experienced servers I think they should include that from the get go rather than booking and cancelling constantly . It wastes both our time. Also how is anyone suppose to get experience if you don’t hire them in the first place. I just downloaded the app up on a recommendation from a friend who also uses this app. She’s had wonderful results so far. I’ve just downloaded yesterday and while I did manage to secure some shifts for next month - for this month it’s just constant cancellations from the business’s side.

I think Staffie should fine tune this process so that business cannot keep approving and cancelling constantly.
