Meet Healthie: the wellness platform that connects clients and providers for on-the-go care. Healthie provides a secure, HIPAA-compliant place for care to happen. Download the app today for a new kind of healthcare experience. FOR CLIENTS: When you work with a wellness provider that uses Healthie, you’ll receive an invitation to create a Healthie account. Optimizing medical records for private practices

As a small private practice of registered dietitians there are no shortage of barriers. Thankfully, Healthie offers a cost effective and user friendly app for both our providers and clients. Their support team is exceptional to work with and always takes feedback well. We know there’s room for improvement, and it’s been nice to see our requests come to life as we’ve brought them up in our meetings with Healthie. Highly recommend considering Healthie and encourage other private practices to set up an interview with them to learn more.

Severely lacking in every area

I find this app to be completely unacceptable, not just the user experience but the entire system. Every update introduces new bugs with no added features. These bugs, such as comments not being entered while the keyboard is up and comment entry styling randomly changing; are simple things that should have automated tests. As an application architect and enterprise security engineer I also find it impossible to believe the data storage is actually kept within HIPPA compliance standards. As a user I find that even the good features are lacking in usability. One especially bothersome component is the mood selection when entering a food journal. There happens to be more than five human emotions and if that number can’t change for whatever reason they should at least be the five core emotions. The UX engineer needs to be replaced, the QA and testing departments need complete restructuring and probably get rid of everyone else in the process and leave application development to actual professionals. Thanks

Goals and Activities are unusable

I’m helping my friend become a wellness coach, and we’re using this app. But as the “client,” I find it completely useless. First goals. You can set up a “daily” or “weekly” goal, but then when you go to mark it complete for the day, it stays marked “complete”! Meaning, the next day you go to mark it, it is already completed. You did it: you completed the goal. On the other hand, even when the goal is marked as complete, you will still get notifications to complete the goal. You can set up subgoals, but seriously I refuse to set up a daily meditation goal for EVERY DAY when I have another habit app that will do it automatically. Now activities. The website makes it sound like you can mark the duration of your activity, but you can’t. You can only mark “intensity”. Tell me, how do I mark the intensity of meditation?There are other unusable aspects, but these two are the worst.

Automatic tracking not reliable

I really like the features in this app, but it doesn’t always track my activity from Apple Health. There doesn’t seem to be any trigger or reason for why it doesn’t track the data, sometimes it will and sometimes it won’t. It misses multiple recorded workouts, steps, and other data. I also wish the app had a feature where you could export your data to share with other providers. I received this app from a weight loss clinic I recently joined, but I would love to be able to share the data collected by the app with my nutritionist who is not affiliated with the clinic but also oversees my care. Thank you for providing this service! It might not be perfect (yet), but it is a helpful tool and has a lot of promise.
