RIVAGE PM StageMix is an application for the Apple iPad that provides remote control of Yamaha RIVAGE PM series digital mixing system functions via a simple, intuitive graphical interface from anywhere within wireless range. The software has been specifically designed to allow engineers to adjust monitor mixes from the performers’ positions on stage, directly controlling mix parameters via the iPad rather than having to rely on verbal directions to a second engineer. The result is better mixes in less time; a huge advantage during high-pressure pre-show setup. Although StageMix is focused on the requirements for adjusting monitor mixes on stage, its range of features is continually expanding, allowing it to be used for a wider variety of remote control functions.

Why can’t the RTA use the external audio input?

Generally I’m happy with the app, but there’s so much lost value since the RTA doesn’t accept an external input. The CL5 app has this. To be able to attach an analyzer mic to the iPad, and send pink noise through speakers to see the frequency response of the position you are at, accounts for 1/3 of the value of a remote console app. Yamaha, please reimplement this feature!!!!

App has a lot of good features. However, it lacks panning on the mix sends. Being able to pan on the mixes would be great to have for dialing in monitor mixes. I cannot believe Yamaha missed this...big disappointment until they fix this.

- Added compatibility with RIVAGE PM firmware V7.0. - Unicast Metering option is now available. - Added support for an external microphone attached to the headphone input jack to be used as the audio source for the RTA. - Added "Sync to console” mode in Custom Fader setup view. When enabled StageMix will always follow the current Custom Fader Bank assignments of the console. This includes assignment changes contained in Scenes, if Scene Mode is enabled on the console.
