First, I live in SW Florida. It’s hot. The purpose of buying the wireless thermostats was to turn AC’s on in our building 45-60 minutes prior to opening. We have 5 thermostats. We’ve had these for almost two years. I have lost count of how many times our app shows an “X” by the status of the units WiFi connection, which requires us having to walk through all the steps as though we were setting up the units online for the first time. It’s very frustrating and quite time consuming. We have many other wireless tech devices in our building that hardly ever get knocked off line. After speaking with one of the reps, he insisted it had something to do with our wireless/internet hardware or software. Our I.T. Specialist have examined and ran test on all our equipment and zones and found no issues. Our internet provider also came and examined our internet supplies and found no issues on our part. We pay for unbelievably fast and reliable service. We are left at this point with only one conclusion... we have made a poor investment. Whether it’s the app or the actual thermostats, we are not happy. On Monday I walked through and reset all 5 thermostats and got them back online and back on the app, only to have all 5 showing the “X” within two days. It’s not worth the headache any more. And yes,I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app as well...several times. My wife says it has to be bad for me to write a negative review which may be my first.

UPDATE 2 - Finally got them reconnected after a 6hr drive one way. While here, Spectrum internet went down for a couple hrs...it happens. BUT, thermostats never reconnected. Called CS and was told they only try once to reconnect after 15 mins. I need to be physically at the thermostat and ADD THEM AGAIN!!! He said if the power goes out, same procedure. These things are not worth it at all. I have received a refund from my contractor and now have NESTs. They work...all the time. They reconnect. Goodbye to the Pro1iaq...it was not fun! BUYER BEWARE!!UPDATE...just spoke to customer service. You have to be physically in front of your thermostats to add them to the new app. Old account information does not transfer. If you have these in a vacation home, get ready to travel!!! Btw, mine are two weeks old. I was just there to have them installed. Spoke to customer service multiple times during setup navies of their ‘server issues’. I was never told this was going to happen. Very irritated!I use this app to control the thermostats in my beach house...6 hrs away. Now, with abrupt update, I am completely in the dark. App will not accept my existing ID and password.

I manage commercial real estate for a living. This app does the job and the phone (human) support at Pro1 is really good as well. It’s important for me to be able to set a “minimum cooling” and “maximum heating” setting on the thermostat so people can’t ice up the AC unit by setting the temp unrealistically low. Happens often people put their stat to 50 degrees thinking it will cool down faster or something and as the unit can never achieve that low temp, on a really hot day, and then ices up and the cooling stops. also a good way to stress and sometimes blow a compressor. That’s an avoidable call for service I’m happy to avoid by setting a minimum temp in the 70s.. Easy to do on the WiFi enabled model and also customer support will walk you through it the first time.. That’s what I did. I’m slowly transitioning all my thermostats to this brand and using this app more and more to monitor the HVAC units under my managements and also easily set and modify the program schedules ,using the app instead of punching in the physical thermostat (mush easier) and tailoring to each tenants individual needs. Makes my life a little easier and I like that!

UPDATE: definitely love the new app update. I love everything about it, and the app actually works good opposed to the previous version. Now I would love to get this integrated into Home. I was about to switch thermostat simply because the app was so bad, but now with this update this is now my favorite thermostat. Again I wish this could get integrated into home then it would be absolutely perfect. Great job, however I would’ve appreciated this update would’ve happened sooner as it’s 2025. But overall great job on the new appOG APP: So far I like this app. The only issue is that when I go to set a temporary hold, the app freezes whenever I change the hold until time. Also when I launch the app I feel like it takes too long to open. I understand it Hass to check the system status, but when you first open it it takes a long time just to get to the thermostat. Also every time youAlso every time you open the app you have to click on the snowflake icon then change the temperature, even though the system is on cool the app defaults to the heat tab being selected.
