I have been coming to St. Luke’s for14 years for the treatment of a TBI. I have been getting Botox injections every 90 days to manage my headaches. Six weeks ago, just one day prior to my next scheduled injection, I received a phone call informing me that they had to reschedule my visit due to an insurance issue. THE NEXT CALL I GET IS FROM SPECIALTY PHARMACY REQUESTING A PAYMENT OF $600 BEFORE THEY COULD SEND MY MEDICATION TO MY DR!! I had no idea what was going on. I have NEVER needed to make arrangements or pay for Botox which is covered under my Part B for Medicare, NOT PART D!! I was then told to complete some APPY application to get my Botox for free. I had NO IDEA why I’m ALL OF A SUDDEN having to jump through hoops TO GET MY TREATMENT!! I did what I was asked to do only for my application for Botox to be “DENIED”!!! Weeks have gone by with me getting “circle jerked” by the staff at the CENTER VALLEY BOTOX TEAM, SPECIFICALLY ERIKA!!! DESPERATE TO GET MY TREATMENT I kept calling my doctor’s office for HELP!!! I then get another call from ERIKA who tells me that since they weren’t receiving payments from UHC that their management made the decision to only get the BOTOX from the specialty pharmacy for UHC which is considered PART D, so the PATIENT HAS TO PAY AN EXORBITANT SUM which isn’t possible!! So because St. LUKE’s is having a problem with the UHC insurance company, they put this problem on the DISABLED PERSON”S PLATE!!! I NEVER received a LETTER or even a PHONE CALL about this situation!!!! MY HEAD IS EXPLODING AND I CANT GET HELP FROM ST. LUKE’s NEUROLOGY, CENTER VALLEY, PA BOTOX TEAM!!! My next call is to the CEO of St. Luke’s, Richard A. Anderson, so he knows how VULNERABLE PATIENTS ARE BEING TREATED!!!!
