Introducing myCOMPASS PA, for Pennsylvanians who have applied for or get health and human service programs or benefits. It offers many of the same features found on COMPASS, but right from your phone. You can now access your benefits from anywhere, whenever you want. The best part? You can take care of business while you’re on-the-go. Tasks that used to involve a trip to the county assistance office can be accomplished with only a few minutes on the app. Whether you want to know the status of your application or send us a photo of required documents, you’re always just a few taps away. This app needs to be updated and become a better system for the had working people that can’t be at the office on time. I have so much trouble in sending documents when I have the pictures saved on to my phone. I can’t get my SAR forms or complete them on this app so what’s the concept of this app then. I’m still having trouble with submitting things on this app and the main office doesn’t check the app and cuts my benefits off with no reason given after I provide the prof in person, fax, email or even through the chain center they rip me off with half my benefits like it’s horrible and a waste of my time dealing with this app and it’s not my phone because iPhones is comparable to almost everything.

There is always room for improvement. But the one review, from FOUR YEARS AGO, I see on this app download page suggests the most useful tool… but it was not added! When you get a notification from the app, for instance you receive a letter, that’s where it ends. It would be very helpful if you had the option to get notifications, via app notification or phone number text or both, when you receive an important message from welfare, especially one that requires a time sensitive response! PLEASE add it. It would help so many people to not miss an extremely important message requiring an immediate response. Life is full of challenges every day and sometimes you forget things. When your benefits are on the line (and you need medical or food, or perhaps you’re cup is full with family affairs) it would ease the anxiety of the recipient and make life so much more easier by adding something small to manage an already stressful task. Not doing it FOR YOU but bringing it to your attention that your reply is needed asap. Technology is advanced enough—If you can do it, why not do it!? If you agree and you want to see change let them know! Thx !

I really like the app but it does have one major problem that needs to be fixed ASAP because I can’t loose my benefits everytime there is a semi annual renew. The app doesn’t send you notifications when anything needs to be done. I check the app once a month or so and I’ve noticed that I never get notified when something like the semi annual renews come up. I have a very busy life and I’m never on my phone due to soon having 3 kids all under the age of 3 and it makes it difficult to actually take the time to go through anything on my phone. I’m late AGAIN turning in this semi annual renew form because I didn’t know it had to be done last time it was the same thing and I lost my benefits then had to reapply for them. I can’t keep reapplying due to lack of communication from the app and welfare office I literally depend on my benefits for my kids please fix this at least even doctors offices send you text notifications a few days before appointments to remind you, you have appointments coming up and it’s so helpful especially when I get so busy I forget. so why can’t my compass do something similar ? Please really look into adjusting this issue

Your compass app never works correctly. Neither does the website. I was unable to see my messages through the app and missed my interview date and they shut my benefits off. I have no medial now and I am on psych meds. I became very ill from not having several of my medications and was unable to seek medial attention which I needed very much. I was unable to see my therapist and my psychiatrist and was discharged from my program and cannot get my suboxone which has caused me to relapse. I am unable to go to rehab also because my medial is not turned back on. I have submitted the only document that I was told, when I called, was needed to turn everything back on, through email, since the app and site were not working and I was unable to submit it that way. Now it’s been a week and nothing is back on. FINALLY I am able to submit documents through the app so I have submitted the same document that I submitted through email a week ago. I still have no medial. I am in a terrible life threatening situation now all because your app and site never works correctly.
