Dad's Monster House tells the story of Carlos' journey after he receives a distress call from his father, pleading for him to return to his old home and rescue his dad. As he continues exploring the house, Carlos encounters many terrifying yet 'cute' monsters. As he solves the puzzles before him, he draws ever closer to the truth... Freud once said: "Love and work, work and love...that's all there is." But what of the pain, the struggles that arise when we're forced to choose between our ambitions and love? In dealing with such conundrums, we’ve all likely hurt those we hold dearest to us. For it's often in the darkness that we feel most safe. With Dad's Monster House, I wish to provide those kinds of heartrending memories a chance at redemption. I dedicate it to scientists, to my childhood dreams; to those I love, and to faded memories. I hope that within you'll find the greatest of answers, be they for your love, for science, or dreams. [Gameplay] A sudden call in the deep of night has you return to a house you haven't visited for many a year. You must unravel one puzzle after another: to from within scenes intertwined with memories find clues and get to the bottom of your father's secret. The choice of whether to redeem or ultimately end this sad story lies in your hands. [Features] Instead of going for bright and vivid colors, I have opted for a black-and-white art style. The fragmented narration, plentiful puzzles, and delicate sound designs create an immersive experience where you as the player get to truly feel the ups and downs of the protagonist's emotions. Cotton does it again

If you’re into indie games these are at the top of the list. These games are like the coolest movies you find and share with your friends, there’s just nothing else like it. The games are full of amazing and obscure references, this one incorporates the accomplishments of scientists into the puzzles. What a cool way to honor science and invention. I would work for this team if I could. Really original. And like others said, this one has a good balance of difficulty. It was a little easier than I’d thought at first, it’s more about continuing to open new areas because most of the time if you’re stumped it means your clue is still behind a closed door. And there is a clue for every puzzle. I spent a day on that bookshelf and I didn’t need to! 🤣

I Like the Game, a bit challenging

Silver-Mist
It is a fun game. Genre, it’s a puzzle game. Although some parts were a bit frustrating (hard), I did watch a few tutorials. I will say though the drawback being there were times I had to go back to the same areas multiple times. It’s a long game and you will have to revisit the same areas in order to solve the puzzles. You might even miss some clues and realize wow it was right there all along. Going back and forth to one area to the next is kinda annoying. There’s no instant map teleportation.But I did enjoy the game. I played it during my free time. And the story line is good. Especially the endings. It was Worth the price. Would play it again.I already finished the game and am planing to replay it to pass the time, and unlock the other endings and achievements.

Really great little game

I am not sure why more people aren’t reviewing this neat little Indie game as it is one of the most creative games I have played in a long time. The graphics are interesting and the puzzles clever and not too hard. I would recommend having an extra device to take pictures of the clues rather than trying to draw them out on the sketch pad in the game. It has a good map to keep track of where you are going and I had to use it a lot. Folks with a good spatial memory probably wouldn’t need it as much. If you like games like the Rusty Lake Series or the Amanita games check this one out! Oh and make sure you do the little photo album at the end. Have fun.

I loved this game. Some parts were hard to complete because I didn’t really understand where to go and without knowing I skipped 1 puzzle so it threw off my whole play to the point where I had to google what I did wrong. But once I got it I was able to finish it. The story is super interesting too. Definitely recommend!!
