My battery was decimated today. I’m not sure what happened, but when I checked Battery Health on my one-year-and-odd-months-old iPhone XR, it reported this app used 57% of my battery life just running in the background. In the past I never noticed enough drain that I wanted to check, but today I did and I was shocked.All this app does is count time and occasionally ping your location. My employer does not provide me my phone and I’m pretty sure Heartland or whoever is not going to pay to replace my battery in a year because its app is working it over oh so hard.The irony is I have a coworker who has never had a smartphone and clocks in and out using the Heartland website on a company computer. His battery in his flip phone is not being wrung dry by Heartland, neither is his privacy being compromised by the tracking in this app. All these things to consider now, thanks! One star because I have no choice, and one more for the so-called convenience of this “app.”

Heartland's Face ID system failed me severely.Although you can change the "Face ID Configuration" via the mobile software, it does not actually change the picture assigned to your employee profile, only the utility of actually being able to clock in/out.I didn't know that.I was told I could "always change" my picture later, so I was a little careless with the capture when I was initially photographed. Now if someone wants to "switch" shifts with me, they have to look at an out of focus picture of me, neither looking at the camera nor indulging in a soft yet sincere smile. Instead of charm, they see ennui. Nor does Heartland's website help compensate for the narrow features of this mobile "paradise." I couldn't find anything in profile settings, nor their help center.Please for the love of god let me change my Face ID photo.For anybody else whose employer is going to set up Face ID, make sure to take the first photo very seriously; it won't be going away any time soon.

Every time I have to check in to work, I have to turn my phone off and then back on just to get it to work, other wise it just sits at the load screen and does nothing, that’s overly annoying/frustrating and it makes me look like I’m 5 or 10min late for work everyday (not cool), the other thing is, having to keep your location turned to on all the time running in the background is BAD for your phones battery life, I have definitely had a decrease in my phone holding a charge all day and at work, I really feel this is a app for if your place of work gives you a work phone to use this on, it shouldn’t be on your own personal everyday phone, if I have to get new iPhone because the battery dies, is this app/work going to pay for a new one?? I currently can not afford a new phone, also don’t really like the whole having to take a picture to clock in and out, where are those being sent/used/stored/ect.???? The app is just frustrating!!!!!!!

While this may just be a review for the Heartland app, I would also like to mention that everything about this company is terrible. My employer has had countless big mistakes made and has had to put in so much extra time because of it. Neither the website or the app will pet me log in. I have the right password because the website logged me in once. If I go to reset my password on the website it sends me an email and then when I enter in a new password it tells me that it was filled out incorrectly. I tried with different passwords and nothing worked. On the app, if I click forget my password it says it sends me an email and it never does. Not in junk or spam or anything. Heartland is a terrible service and shouldn’t even exist. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I have the right password because the website logged me in once.
