Overall a good app and pretty easy to use, but definitely needs dark mode especially for night feeds (or people like me that just hate a stark white screen). I like the basic home screen because it shows time spent on left vs right breast so I’m not neglecting one side, but I wish it also had a marker indicating which side you used last. Yes that is available on the timeline screen, but it’d be nice to see more in one place without switching back n forth. Also when editing a previous nursing session, it always moves the marker of “starting breast” to the left side with no way to correct it, even if the left breast was not used at all. The timeline screen is nice because it gives a good visual of the day, but I dislike that it doesn’t integrate when I pumped on baby’s account, or show the other “mom” features. I know that stuff is not about baby, but it’d be so much more convenient to have it all on one page or at least have the option to combine them or “view all”. I also wish there was a clean/dry diaper option to log as well. Lastly, some taps/selections have to be exactly on point as if the “buttons” aren’t big enough to receive the feedback. Really minor complaints and again it’s overall a good app, but these things add up and I am considering switching to using my other app to track feeds/pumps due to the reasons listed above.
Good app with lots of tracking tools

I had my third baby earlier this year and was initially using the same breast pump I had used with my first two kids. It was fine, but I was excited to receive the Lansinoh Smartpump 2.0 Double Electric Breast Pump as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and try a new pump. This is my first experience with a Lansinoh breast pump and it has been great so far! The pump is easy to use and is quite comfortable. The pump comes with two different sizes of flanges and I found that the smaller size worked great for me. (While pumping I use a pumping bra, bought separately, which I highly recommend.) The actual pump is compact and sleek. It comes with a cute bag to keep the pump and parts together and take it all with you easily. This pump is definitely quieter than my other one and makes a soft hushing sound while pumping. My favorite feature of this breast pump is the ability to customize the suction and pumping style. It took a couple of pumping sessions to determine what worked best for me (and what settings best mimic my baby), but once I found the right settings, I was able to pump even more efficiently. I also downloaded the Lansinoh Baby 2.0 app, which syncs with the pump so you don’t have to remember what time you started. The app also lets you track nursing/bottle feeds, diaper changes, baby growth, and even water intake for mom! Overall, I really like this breast pump and plan to continue to use it as my primary pump.

Effective and comfortable

First the positives. There is a lot to like about this pump. One of the most comfortable pumps I’ve used, both with suction and the fit. I like the soft rubber on the outside of the flanges where it attaches to the breast. It was also effective at expressing milk. And it’s very easy to use. It does connect to the Lansinoh app which is cool. I can understand how the app would be helpful (especially the push notifications for reminders to pump, drink water, etc) but I personally didn’t find it useful. Probably because this is my third child and I don’t need all the frills that the app provides. If this was my first baby I would have geeked out over all the app features. There were just a few turn offs for me. First is that it does not have an internal rechargeable battery. You can put your own batteries in it so that it is cord free but I felt like it was a little bit to cumbersome to switch out the batteries. It’s not difficult to switch out the batteries at all, but I just don’t have time for the extra step (again, this is my third baby... I’m not rolling around in free time). Second turnoff is that that pump is on the louder side. Not excessively loud but definitely noticeable. Overall, it’s definitely a good pump! Very low profile pump, effective and super easy to use. I received this pump as a participant in the Stellar Product Testing Panel, but this is my unbiased honest feedback.

Lansinoh >> HIGHLY RECOMMEND

When I was in the recovery room, the lactation consultant let me borrow their medela breast pump. That’s usually the more commonly used one I’ve seen within my family... and they all hated pumping. They say it hurts their nipples and it’s just uncomfortable and I completely agree. When I tried the medela breast pump.. I cried because all those bad stories my cousins told me came true. I pumped twice and I didn’t want to pump after that horrific experience. BUT I had a Lansinoh pump at home. Different brands.. but I was still scared to pump again.. but I wanted to start to build a stash so I gave it another try after 3 weeks... let me tell you, it did not hurt. It was easy to clean. Easy to assemble. My only concern was the tubing. Sometimes I can hear that I didn’t insert it all the way... it’s a little difficult to but not impossible. It’s a hit or miss for me but I’m getting used to getting it right the first time. I told my cousin who’s expecting to get the same pump I did. Both of her sisters ordered the medela and they both hated it. I also didn’t like that mine didn’t come with a tote :/ but I would still choose Lansinoh over Medela even if it was free and it came with a tote, some coolers, and extra extra parts. The app also is very convenient. I use a different app to log my baby’s activity, diapers, feeding and sometimes I forget when and how long I pumped, but it tells me the duration!!
