I have been a member of the brain tumor community on Inspire since 2016. The app is quickerThe ABTA online support found on the Inspire Platform for people impacted by brain tumors, especially brain cancer is the single most effective support that helped me throughout my son’s illnessto check for daily updates but I was not able to direct message someone as we are supposed to be able to do. I also got an email notification of a DM but it is not there (perhaps the sender deleted it). The app is great for quick responses.

I have never written a review for an app but this really frustrated me. I joined to find community talking about pain and struggles with health - not to be preached to every other post. I am not a religious person, and I don’t think the answer to every problem is to just hope and pray. I don’t think an app for pain should be where people push their religion onto others. If it’s something that helps you - great! But it’s not the answer for every single person. I don’t think repeating daily that “God will help” is going to change everything for someone. We have free will for a reason. We rely on ourselves and others for change. I don’t think we should idly sit by and hope for things to change for us. I also think it’s silly for the creators of the app to be upset about people calling this behavior out. This app did not seem inherently religious. I don’t think it’s something that needs to be brought up really. I also don’t think that if someone disagrees with it - that they should be getting reprimanded. If people wish to talk about religion, give them a specific space to do so. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I don’t want religion shoved down my throat just like they don’t want to listen to atheists. Make it equal or equitable.While this app is a good concept, the UI, people, and disorganization of everything leaves much to be desired.

They also must sell your data as the moment I signed up in November 2021 I got tons of emails from pharmaceutical companies and bogus supplements companies regarding my specific medical conditions . Could be a coincidence, but I doubt it, as I signed up no where else.Plus the site IMHO is just a rehashing of webmd. No real value I found in the 3 months I was on. Others may be looking for a site with primarily thoughts and prayers. It that’s you you’ll absolutely love this site. But if your looking for real information to help your conditions or some humor or distraction from your pain, in my opinion, look elsewhere. Or give it a try, just use a throw away email or your box may load up with spam like mine did. Don’t say you were not warned.

That being said, I was hesitant to download and use the APP for this site for my iPad. So many times Apps leave iPad users struggling to access or post to discussions. Not this APP. It is working well and has made most discussions easy to follow.

I have been on the Inspire website since 2010 and rely on it to get information from others about my medical tests and prognosis. There is nothing better than learning from others who have walked a path before me or to learn about clinical trials or new treatment protocols. That being said, I was hesitant to download and use the APP for this site for my iPad. So many times Apps leave iPad users struggling to access or post to discussions. Not this APP. It is working well and has made most discussions easy to follow.

New members may notice a smoother onboarding experience that makes it easier to choose conditions, find relevant communities, and complete their profiles.
