This app is perfect except for one feature. It has the latest trails info and the gps works extremely well if you are navigating to a particular destination. The problem lies when you are out of cell range with a group. The app allows you to basically download and size map for offline use but you cannot use the track your friends feature offline. This is a deal breaker for me unfortunately and I will be buying the Garmin tread. The tracking feature will save sooo much time waiting for your friends, especially when we are going off trail or think we may have missed a turn. If there was someway to track other sleds offline, EVEN IF THAT FEATURE COST $$, I would use this app all the time. It is my goto when I ride alone and works great with my glovebox extension but Ill be moving to the Garmin next year

Hi! Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. Our team takes note of your comment regarding the friends tracking feature. Have a great day!
Totally worthless!
Mjjas62
Obviously this was developed without a single bit of common sense! I’m in “snow mode” yet the search results give me places in England and Africa!!! I’m not riding my sled from upstate NY to frigg’n Africa!! Make the search results places that are accessible by sled! When my phone is connected, it only displays “connection successful” I have to disconnect my phone in order to do a search. The search usually can’t find places that have been around for years! I’ll google the place for an actual address. When the full address, including the state, it picks a random word, usually from the street name, and runs with it! Once again giving unrealistic results like places in Wisconsin!! The only apps that can be used are the ones supplied by BRP connect. This is a list of apps that have absolutely no usefulness! Take a look at the NYSSA app. This is what a snowmobile trail app should be like! More reasonable search results! It also allows you to tap on any spot in the trail system and go there, regardless if there’s actually a POI! In a nutshell, make it so we can add our own apps! Examples are the NYSSA and Pandora! The built in navigation works if you choose a destination that is actually on the map. If you’re trying to just plan a ride you’re screwed unless there’s businesses you can tap on along the way! It’s sad to think I have to buy an aftermarket gps to mount to my sled, because the built in gps is worthless!!

Hi! We are sorry for any problems you experienced with the search bar. We will pass the comments on to our team for future improvements. Also, for your information, it is possible to select a point on the map (which is not a POI) by long pressing at the desired location on the map (via the mobile app). This allows you to navigate directly to locations that are not official POIs. Thank you.
Decent but has some flaws
Jimmy James E
I find the app to be helpful when navigating the snowmobile trails. However, there are some flaws. The biggest issue is that very few over-water trails are included on the map and, therefore, you are often directed on routes that are much longer than necessary. Other apps such as Polaris include over water routes. Why doesn’t BRP offer this? Another issue is that many businesses don’t come up when using the search function but, when locating them on the map they are clearly in the database. This adds time and complexity when mapping a ride. Finally changes to trails are sometimes not updated promptly.
Developer Response
Hi! Thank you for your review. Trail data comes from snowmobile federations and clubs. If some trails are not displayed, please share the location of the trails with us and we will try to add them. Regarding the POI search, our team takes note of it and will try to improve the functionality soon. Thanks again!
Needs more map options

I am using this app for snowmobiling. Overall this app is very nice looking and easy to use. However, there are a few enhancements that would need to be added before it can unseat the Polaris app as my “daily driver.” 1. An option to keep the map oriented north up. I always use Google Maps and Polaris Ride Command with rotation locked in the north up orientation. Currently, I see no way to set this in the BRP Go app. 2. Zoom options. In other navigation apps I have the ability to set a custom zoom level. I like to have a larger map area showing when riding. The BRP Go app currently has total control over the zoom level. I would like the ability to keep the map centered on my position at whatever zoom level I choose while riding. 3. Disable dynamic zoom. The BRP Go app zooms in as you’re slowing down. It seems to work okay, but I’d like an option to disable auto zooming. 3. The ability to switch between dark and light map view, regardless of system settings. I like my phone set to dark mode, but I like my maps in light mode. Please give us the option in-app to turn off dark mode completely and the option to only use dark mode at night. Again, the app seems very nice overall. However, if they’d like me to switch from the Ride Command App, I need these options!
