Dive into an action RPG where you fight enemies and explore dungeons. Ready to be a hero?
Dungeon Ward is an offline action RPG mixed with old-school grid-based dungeon crawler from a 3rd person perspective. The core is about real-time combat, looting, RPG character building, questing and boss fights.
Character building
It takes the best from the action RPG games (leveling up characters, items, stats, skill trees, city with shops, quests, bosses etc.) to the classic dungeon crawler setting.
Unique classes
Play as a mighty Warden, shapeshifting Ranger or elemental Mage. Invest talent points to learn new skills such as spell reflection, lightning arrow or werewolf transformation. Learn passive talents or just increase stats to create exactly the character build you like.
Procedural hand-made dungeons
Dungeon Ward features 3D procedural dungeons from hand-made parts with unique boss rooms, deadly traps, teleports and story quests.
Offline play
This RPG game can be completely played offline (without internet). Everything is possible to buy via ingame currencies which are obtainable also by playing.
Grid-based controls, 3rd person camera
The grid-based controls are similar to old-school dungeon crawler games from 90s. That means 90 degree turning, movement on a grid. It features not only button controls but also virtual joystick. Now supports also controllers connected over bluetooth.
Actively developed, Localized
Dungeon Ward is in active development by a czech solo developer. The game is localized to: English (EN), Czech (CZ), Slovak (SK), German (DE), Spanish (ES), Polish (PL), Italian (IT), Indonesian (ID), Brasilian Portuguese (PT BR), French (FR), Turkish (TR), Chinese (CN), Japanese (JA). No wifi needed.
Believe the reviews. My immediate question is to the developers: do you make more money with me watching the ads or if I pay a one time fee? I would pay additional fees for new content, no question.THEIR AD MANAGEMENT IS FREAKING PERFECT!!! You aren't forced to watch an ad; you choose to watch one. Multiple ways to incease difficulty (never watch an ad, sure the game is harder, so turn down the difficulty). It isn't pestering, isn't pay to win. It has in-app purchases for gems which can be used to make items cheaper: how did I find this out? I had to explore the menus. Wasn't attacked with ads from the game selling gems. The gameplay is way above average for mobile games. Way above. The level design I thought was ho-hum at first, and the "town" is definitely that, HOWEVER after you beat the first boss, you notice a change. Starts to feel a bit more like Elder Scrolls. The balance is solid, and the maps are clever, however the game isn't punishing when you die. I didn't die until the second boss, but the boss wasn't the issue: it was clever design of the map that got me trapped. I would, and I mean this honestly, pay for expansion packs AND still stick with the ad system. This game is the best single player RPG I have played for mobile, and yeah, Square and Nintendo: looking right at you guys.I have a lot of suggestions, but unless input is requested, all I can say is dude: your game rocks! Shut up and figure out ways to take my money. My first app review. Ever.

Wow, what a review! I definitely tried to go differently than the rest of the mobile games these days in terms of monetization and also went a bit oldschool with the genre as well. You can definitely come by to the discord (link in main menu) and share your feedback and ideas! One time payment helps for sure a lot more than watching the ads (especially from not that rich countries), but even those add up over time if many people watch them. As a solo dev it's always a challenge to create new content but I've spent my evenings on it for the last 5 years, so I am glad somebody appreciates it :)
Solid game. Want to see more!

Great old school dungeon crawler! Pros: -Great graphics! Equipped items are displayed on your character (such as Fire infused bow burning on the back of your character). Dungeon backgrounds have some variety too. -Loot variety is awesome! Allows for lots of customization. Even equipped potions have bonuses. -Dungeons can be wrapped up in a short amount of time which is great on a mobile game. -IAPs are NOT necessary at all. Cons: -Found it a bit easy. I struggled with the first boss until I realized I needed to move around more. More AoE attacks from enemies would help with that. I played as a Ranger so I have no idea how difficult the other classes are. -Finished the main quest and then it just starts over and you keep your stats. Enemies get tougher though. I’d like to see more content (DLC quests, more story) Great game. Developer is awesome and talented. I’d just like to see more and I’d GLADLY pay for more content.

Very fair and detailed review. I completely agree with it. I am working on more content for sure... but it will take some months to finish. The response from the community about the game makes me very motivated. Thank you.
5* Classic RPG

I don't leave reviews. In this case I will. It might be long but I'll try to keep it to a point. I came from the age of UO and DAoC. I've always and forever wanted a game that a) was not play to win and b) revolved solely around Dwarfs. This is that game. The good:Addictive. **This game is NOT pay to win. It is NOT "afk leveling". It is NOT a game that causes seizures. • This is a game that is a straight forward. It's an old school hack and slash that is perfect for Dwarf lovers and hack slash lovers. • It has 1h weapons, 2h weapons, shields, armor, ring & amulet and you can enchant them all easily with scrolls you find. Weapon damage is enhanced based on enemy type. Excellent. • 100% this game is perfect for the casual gamer that is not seeking to fall into the "guild drama" and sucking the life out of you with raids. • Enemies and Dungeon Traps damage enemies. Use them and play smartly. • Can increase enemy difficulty on the fly for better loot and gold or go easier if needed. • Nostalgic Glowy weaponsThe bad:Addictive. • Sadly there is currently only one developer. Developer is however very awesome. Not necessarily bad for the patient. • No quick weapon "hot switch". Not necessarily bad for the patient and nostalgic. • Sadly character looks does not change fully based on armor equipped. Example would be different heavy armors or helmets. Wards, mages and Ranged do of course all look different. • Currently only two acts. However it's not a big deal as dungeons that do exist morph and adjust the difficulty as needed. If you die prepare to face new foes and not those that wiped you out. All in all this game is easily a 5* in my book.

Thank you. I loved UO and games with great GvG like Shadowbane or DAoC in my days. Hot switch sounds sounds good to me as well. The only downside is more buttons on the screen which might be problematic because with controller I am already at the limit. That's also probably the only reason why I haven't added it yet. Anyways I appreciate such a nice review.
Good game

If I rate this game solely based the game itself, I give it 4 stars. However, I give it a 5 stars because this a game created by a single person dev team. The reason for the 4 stars is because the game mechanics is too easy. You can beat the game without upgrade any equipment if you play carefully. When you are fighting a boss, just make sure you in an area where you can move sideway facing the boss then the boss won’t be able to hit you. So you just wait for your elemental spell to refresh. You can get everything without spilling any cash. Support the dev by watch ads to receive more golds and gems. Can’t wait for new contents to come out!
Developer Response
I think this is fair review. You can sidestep as an exploit which gives even worse players a chance but I think some more aoe abilities would be good idea to implement in the future.
- fixed issue where damage over time attacks scaled incorrectly
- improved save recovery
- improved ads loading
- improved weapon icons
