I like that it tells you what to write on the back of the check before taking the picture and that it automatically takes the picture for you. It’s also helpful that it gives you the date the money will be posted to your account. I just hate that even with all this great technology, it still takes 2 days to post.

Great Bank, Weak App

FirstIB is a fantastic bank and has been my primary bank for 25 years, despite its somewhat silly name. They recently overhauled their app and while one feature is better (check deposit), they have made rookie UI errors that make the app harder to use, particularly around bill payment. Bill payment is now relegated far down a secondary nav when it is a primary feature for many or most checking account holders. The increasingly popular Zelle is also somewhat hard to find, though once you are in it the functionality is better than in the older version of the app. If they re-think their nav structure, I would be happy to change my three stars to five.

This is one of the cleanest and simplest banking apps I’ve used (and I’ve been around the block with 5 different banks by now).Everything you need and nothing you don’t - what else would anyone ask for;-)Customer support is also superb especially in today’s world of automated and/or “AI powered” quagmire … you get real person who actually know what they’re doing!!!Keep up the good work, folks!

I’ve been with this bank for almost 20 years. They have served me well. And whenever there was a problem, their email and phone service was fast and helpful. The only issue I have is their CD offer. They have a good rate, but it is oh so difficult to purchase them.
