I haven’t had any issues with Greenwood personally and I was one of the first with an account had it since the beta app came out it’s been years no breaches I get my direct deposits on time from both jobs I can easily move money between accounts and other banks never had an issue I will say I did have the can’t log in thing happen to me but it tried three times in a row it didn’t work the 4th time I typed my password logged in then the face scan started working again so maybe I’m just lucky because I have no complaints also when I mobile deposited a check they didn’t release it I called they said I don’t ever deposit checks so there would be a 7 day hold talked to her supervisor reviewed my account history released the full check before I was off the phone and that was for thousands of dollars from a accident and I’ve also deposited and investment check same way hold then released and it was a lot of money so I’m keeping my account and would like to see them continue to grow and offer more services
Inconsistent Access to App!

Currently I have not been able to open the App for at least two days. And its not the first time this has happened. I have emailed support ** I had to find a previous correspondence from account opening issues, to find it- because as previously stated in another review-No where to be found*** It’s frustrating not to have consistent access to your accounts. I believe it is something to do with the “ biometric authentication “ It validates my face but doesn’t open the app. And if I try to login manually afterwards it gives me an “internal error . Contact Support” . Which again doesn’t give you a link or a phone number to use. I honestly don’t write reviews but I feel I have to because y’all have my money locked up in here. And I’m only here because I am trying to see if I delete the app - so I can turn off the biometrics and log on manually works. It’s frustrating not to have access to your money. I also dislike mobile check deposits because it takes unbelievable long for them release any of your funds! These two reasons have me reconsidering my choice to bank with Greenwood. Please come up with solutions . Thank you!

I decided to give greenwood a chance after hearing it was a minority owned back and also it was supported/owned by Killer Mike and Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young. My only issue is Customer Service and Refund status. It’s been a whole 13 days and I haven’t received a refund for something that I know for other bank doesn’t take more than 3 days to get, IF THAT. It’s very frustrating when they say they have customer service BUT nobody I mean NOBODY answers the phone. I was hold for 1:03:22 before I hung up. Very disappointed in this. Rather than that I do love they send alerts on everything from deposits, when you spend, and even when you block your card off. The early two days in advance direct deposit is pretty cool also. I’m going to stick it out to see if it gets better but I’m only disappointed in customer service and refund status.

Please don’t bank here. It’s just like any other bank they just threw the black in part to get more customers. I’m on the phone right now trying to figure out why I got sent a deposit on the 9th and must wait til the 14th to receive it. They can’t tell me why but I do know they yell “we don’t hold deposits” trying to be like the other companies and they indeed DO HOLD DEPOSITS. They have held my money 3xs and won’t explain the reasons. I started with them when they launched as I did Chime. The more people that came to chime, made it worse. Greenwood is small & still lies like other banks. All that’s different is they use brown people for the market and that’s even more sad. Cuz y’all selling dreams like other banks. Please release my deposit so I can close out this account and go back to my main bank. I thank God I keep 3-4 bank accounts. I have gave a chance and I’m sorry I did. No extra features just a debit card……don’t waste your information. The reps don’t know much they can NEVER explain why or what’s goin on with my account only read from scripts. Hurry up and give my money so I can leave this company.
