Has good high end bikes for sale but I had a purchase of a P3x “approved” so I sold my Felt IA through this app, & then the fake seller backed out, so I was left with no bike! Buycycle 1st offered me a $50 credit to buy a bike, which wasn’t ok bc I don’t know if I will. It took a LOT of negotiation for them to refund my seller fee, which they should have done immediately. Plus I had to tell them 2x to remove the same fake seller’s identical re-listing. They should change their policy so if a seller accepts a bid they MUST sell the bike, or cyclists can’t plan their lives or training! Plus it’s not good you can’t make any offer bc this discourages negotiation. ebay allows this and buycycle should also. Their German staff did seem honest, I must say

Everything I did to sell a bike for $103 USD was horribly executed by this app, had to contact customer support several times to keep the process flowing and to complain about how several of the steps involved were extremely inconvenient for me as a seller and how the some of the information they provided was completely wrong. I’ve never had a worse experience selling something on any platform. I often had to go between the iPhone app and web app because the two did not always match up and links I received in emails brought me to the web app instead of the iPhone app even though I was on my phone. It’s been a week since the bike was sold and I received a payment that was significantly less than what was supposed to be paid because they had told me the buyer would pay for any packaging of the bike. I was told my ticket was escalated but still haven’t heard from anyone after several days. The whole process feels like it’s automated and done through some kind of AI, including the communication with support, but at almost every step the automation failed, so it just became a nightmare of an experience.

There have been issues with every step in this process! I will begin with the packaging materials. I ordered the buycycle packing material and I received an incomplete box. The box that was sent DID NOT include any material to wrap the tubes of the bike, did not include a box for the accessories, and one of the cardboards sent for the wheels did not have the required hole for the rear cog of the wheel. So, I had to go out and buy a small box for the accessories, buy bubble wrap, and I had to literally cut a hole myself so the rear cog would fit in the wheel cover. Then the next issue was with the shipping label. They sent me a shipping label. Then 2 days later I get an email stating that the system duplicated the label and I had to print and attach a new label. Now we come to the pickup day. I took the day off work and waited all day. No UPS driver was showing up. I then spent over an hour on the phone with UPS and had to finally demand to speak with a supervisor. They finally sent a message to the driver and he showed up very late in the afternoon (5pm). So, I confirm the pickup as required and the message on the app states “now you can relax…” Well, that is not the case because I clicked on track package on the app and it took me to the site where the tracking number shown did not match the tracking number on the shipping label. Then this morning I went to the app to check the status and it now states that the pickup was unsuccessful when in fact it was successful. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company. To compound these issues there is no customer service phone number to call. I have to send separate messages every time there’s an issue and wait 2 days to get a response. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced!

Was able to sell relatively quickly. But then everything else is short of expectations and it takes forever to get paid out or even get it shipped. Their description states that it takes 2-3 days to get your packing materials but what they tell you when you ask where it is they take that long to order it and then they email saying “you should have in 5-7 days” which mind you is a week after they’ve scheduled the courier to pick up. I went and paid a shop $100 to pack my bike myself otherwise it would be a month for my buyer to get it. Finally, after verifying it was shipped I selected payment, it said success. A few days later I follow up and they apologized and said they’d manually pay it out. 3 days after that I had to follow up again and they said they needed my direct bank routing info since their European site couldnt process. I still have not been paid my $5,000 and all the while need to pay for the new builds. I recommend trying other sites first as this place is criminally holding my money without paying owed interest
