Not bad, but the older app worked better for me

The app is nice to have - I can keep track of my money, deposit a check, etc from my phone - but this new CalCoast app seems to be formatted weird on my phone (iphone SE). Sometimes words show up on top of each other and the screen just doesn't seem to "fit." For example, I wasn't able to activate my new card on the app because the bottom of the page to enter the card numbers was cut off. Well, at least I could call and activate it. I'm still grateful for the app; I just think it has some issues I didn't notice with the old version.

Thisapp'sanightmare
I have been with this credit union since 1980: 44 years. I never had a problem with the previous online banking app, was very convenient. Easy to navigate, no problems, no bugs. They then force us to use this one & it's been nothing but a nightmare. Constantly kicks me off, shows it downloads and then it kicks me right back to having to update again. 25 minute wait to get ahold of someone on the phone, which I just had to do, and got the most condescending man on the phone; seriously rude (probably not a good time to write a review when you're mad, or is that actually the best time?). Acted as tho I was the only one having this problem, then said they are doing abt 3 updates a week so that's "Just what I have to do,"OR "I could "always come in and take care of it there." Say what??? The whole reason for online banking is so you don't have to go in there! No idea when or If they will get this sorted out, but my guess is if they have to update it 3 times a week it won't be soon. Every time I use it I determine to change CU's but I've been with them for so long, but then again you can only keep going through this for so long; I'm at the point of 'done.' Anyone thinking abt opening an account here, don't! Read the reviews with the understanding that for each one there's 1000s that have not been written.Everyone hates this app, where are they getting the 4.6 stars when just a month ago it was barely 2 stars??

They forced their members to download new versions and change passwords to gain access to a updated version that has ALL the same issues as previous versions. And still no Zelle. Would recommend just saving yourself time and frustration by moving accounts to a better credit union. There are so many better options who care about their members needs over there own. I just did this a few days ago and was amazed just how many options there were that were better than Cal Coast. I also expressed frustrations about their software numerous times to employees/ managers at their branches and NEVER had one of them say anything more than “yeah we are aware we hear that from most members “. Yet nothing ever changes. Which makes me believe Cal Coast truly doesn’t care about its members banking experience. Have even had conversations with multiple members while waiting in line at their branches about Cal Coasts lack of care for their members. Speaking of lines…. Why do they have 5 or more teller windows if they only ever have 2 of them open with 8 members standing in line? Just another basic practice by a basic bank. Do yourself a favor and instead of downloading this app just switch your accounts to a credit union that wants to offer better than basic services because it’s your money and you’re decision. Switching banks is so easy when you’re leaving basic behind and getting what you deserve for your money.

Cal coast review
Every time you guys under go maintenance it’s during the day when one has to use the app instead of trying to do maintenance on your app during night perhaps hours when people are usually sleeping. This kind of inconvenience is very annoying your transferring money and it’s not reflecting so you do it more times and still doesn’t reflect then you go to an atm to withdraw and says insufficient funds because again it’s not reflecting. Given we live in a generation where things are faster it’s not showing. Then you call the bank it’s self and you get the worst people on the phone I understand you have to go thru security questions I recommend when your members go in to the bank to ask them if there security answer needs to be updated some of us had that answer for years and forget. I don’t want to get into details about how bad your phone system is. My biggest complain now is when your doing maintenance on the app and causes you not to be able to go to an ATM or go and use your card and then your left with no funds available because of your maintenance hours.
